The cottage was really welcoming. Love the cleanliness, and to have on hand everything we needed. The location was very convenient, peaceful, and quiet. Thanks for hosting; we really enjoyed our staying.
My sister and I chose this place because it was really close to my mother’s. It was very clean. We enjoyed the dock and yard as well as the enclosed porch. It is a great get away from regular hurried life. It’s close enough to town without feeling like you were in town. We will definitely come back again..
Lovely cottage just off the river!! We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing when we weren't fishing off of the dock!! The Florida room was perfect for enjoying time with friends!!!
We had the best time here! House was clean and has everything you need and more. Host was very nice and communicated well. Hopefully we will be back next summer!
The House is cozy and nicely decorated. The house was very clean with an adorable kitchen, nice neighborhood, fun toys in the backyard for using in the river. Overall extremely pleasant stay.
This place was so incredibly adorable! I stayed with 3 of my boys (15,13, and 8 months) and we had plenty of room. The neighborhood was quiet and we were very comfortable for our entire stay. Thank you!!
Wonderful private property. We used the fire pit every night. Spent the mornings out back having coffee and reading one of the many books at the property. We had everything we needed for our long weekend stay. We would definitely go back.
Cabin was clean and enjoyable. Loved the enclosed patio with ac. It was too hot for us to use the canoe and kayaks and the water by tbe house looked too low. There was a restaurant within walking distance down the street that had delicious fish.
This house was so cute and very clean. Host was prompt to respond with any questions we had. About 25-40 min for all the attractions we can to see and do. Highly recommend.
This property is super cute and well-maintained. It had everything you could want and more plus comfortable beds and living area, quiet neighborhood, and clean. It was easy to find and the check in process was seamless. If you’re a seafood lover, check out the little place seriously 2 minutes away for some fantastic seafood and super awesome staff called Fisherman’s Cove. Highly recommend staying at this property and we hope to be back next year!!

The cottage was just right for our group. It was clean and inviting. We were able to use the small kitchen with ease and there were plenty of comfortable places to sit back and relax. It was wonderful having a washer and dryer to use. The back porch was private and pleasant. When we had some minor issues the owner responded immediately. I would highly recommend this rental!
The cottage was beyond what I expected. It was so charming and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was really well stocked and we especially enjoyed the coffee and wine left out for us. We played ping pong and used some of the board games outside which are a nice addition. We didn’t get to use the kayaks or pedal boat but we enjoyed the nice views of the river. We also visited the springs in Crystal River. The host provided extra towels for that as well. Very nice stay and I will definitely be returning when in the area.
The 4 star rating was given due to both Kayaks being youth size. This was one of the main reasons we booked this place and my husband was unable to use them. The other reason was the pedal boat and because it was missing a bushing, it was unusable until the last 3 days. Something is still wrong with the pedals which makes it difficult to use. The space itself is clean and cute and the back porch is awesome! The neighborhood is super quiet. Feels like you’re the only ones there. Also, there is quite a bit to do in the area for outdoor activities.
Do you want to have a relaxing vacation somewhere idyllic, in a cottage with every amenity including an ENTIRE WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA you can kayak into and explore? This place is magnificent, and the hosts have made sure it has everything you could need. Check-in was super easy, and their response time for questions was literally seconds. If you appreciate wildlife, comfort, beautiful forests and rivers, and getting away from the stress of the city, this is where you will find that. My wife and I love the area so much that we're thinking of moving there now. 10/10, I cannot express enough how perfect it is. It's just a few minutes from the amenities in town, but is far enough away that if you don't want to see another human the entire time, you can feasibly do that.
I wanted to do a staycation and chose this lovely cottage. It is beautiful, warm and cozy! The backyard has access to canal which leads to the river (can literally see the river from deck). I wanted to use one of kayaks provided unfortunately the weather was rainy, windy and bit cold. No matter, I turned on the electric fireplace, made a hot beverage (provided by host) and did some reading on the lanai. Host provides games, fishing gear, full kitchen complement's, linens and blankets all you need to bring is food and additional beverages! This is a wonderful getaway place for single, couples or small family. Host replied to my texts promptly and was very friendly. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

We really enjoyed this quite cottage. Clean and quite with a comfy bed, fast internet for remote work and within reasonable distance to Crystal River activities for manatees. We appreciated the large yard for our dog and the provided coffee and bottle of wine. This is a VBRO property we booked through Expedia. While we were able to reach Ariana directly, the few concerns we brought to her attention never really got resolved. We were disappointed the pedalboat wasn't operational when we arrived and only one of the kayaks was functional...that we learned the hard way. The grill is charcoal and could use some maintenance and while we were able to use the laundry it often stopped midcycle leaving the tub full of water until you turned it to another setting. Lastly, we had someone bang on the door claiming to be housekeeping about 9:30pm on our second to last night with linens in garbage bags that startled the heck out of us. We'd stay again but more TLC could be put in.

Opening Day of Scallop Season
Me, my husband and two pups stayed for 4 days, 3 nights for opening day of scallop season and to visit grandchildren. We had major issues with the A/C unit the entire visit. Very hot during the day although did cool down at night. Had to have an A/C tech come out twice. Found an issue with the compressor, as well as the filter was clogged, needed replacing, and the A/C tech told us the owner had control over the "Nest" unit, and had it set at 77. We were unable to control the temp for our comfort. This house has an aluminum roof, and no insulation and single pane windows. In addition, if you have rain, it will flood over the septic tank in the back yard and cause back up with the toilet. The garbage disposal also backed up with water, and when I turned it on, it caused debris, or food to blow out of the sink on the other side. The water was cloudy, and is on a well, and I assume, it is iron causing the cloudiness. The laundry room was locked so we did not have access to it.
Just be aware this property is located on a canal as stated, but it is "swamp-like" and there are alligators. We tried fishing and caught a baby alligator. The air-boats go by frequently through the river, and it is very loud, even in the late evening, early morning hours.
The owners were very responsive to us, but several times told us to check out and they could refund our money but that was not an easy option to find another place to stay. Issues need to be addressed with this property

This review is simply untrue and I don’t understand why someone would write such nasty things about a place simply because they are upset. I take great pride and put lots of work into my cottage to ensure it is more than satisfactory for my guests. I have been hosting this cottage for over two years and never have I received such bogus and outlandish feedback. I urge you to please Google the home and read the reviews in external sites and you will see these claims are untrue.
The only claim that has some truth to it, it’s the AC issue. I understand there were issues during your stay which I promptly addressed and also corrected upon your checkout. The AC unit in the home is new by the way.
I offered you to check-out with a full refund and you refused. Don’t know why you would stay if you were this unhappy. But I suspect it was price driven. There are plenty of rentals in the area. Didn’t want to go somewhere else and pay more.
There’s no such thing as me controlling the AC doesn’t exist.
Septic tank and drain field in the home are brand new and there is absolutely no clogging issue anywhere. Some water may pool in the backyard with excessive rain. It’s rain season. But that water doesn’t sit.
The cottage has several filters for the water.
If you had an issue with the laundry room being locked all you had to do was ask and I would’ve had someone come in to unlock it.
This location is right up on the river. It’s FL. It’s swampy. There are river boats that go up and down the river. But it is a very quiet and isolated place. The most frequent feedback I get is that the place is very peaceful.
We loved this property. It felt like home from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by a ghecko and made friends with the neighbours cat. The palms, spanish moss, and river brought charm. Ariana was attentive and helpful!!
