Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear the home met your expectations, had everything you needed, and that check-in was straightforward. We’re happy it was a comfortable place for your trip.
We were looking for proximity to the redwoods parks and Eureka, as well as seclusion and were rewarded with this beauty. Off the beaten path, quiet, and still close enough to nature's attractions. Thanks!

Thank you for sharing your experience. The home offered the mix of seclusion and easy access to both the redwoods and Eureka that you were hoping for. It provided a peaceful setting while keeping you close to the natural attractions you wanted to explore. Looking forward to hosting you back!
Falcons Perch was a great stay. I like to stay in places that are a little more private and out of the way. We saw deer outside the windows and we found the extra leaves for the table in the garage which came in handy when my cousin and her husband came over for dinner. All 7 of us fit comfortably at the table for a quiet dinner. We also found the electric lantern and flashlights came in handy when a brief wind came through with some heavy rain and a tree took out power and access to the one road leading to the property. We couldn't access the property for about 4 hours, so we discovered Mad Dog Brewing in Blue Lake with food, music, and great drinks. Advice to future renters in rural areas: First be aware that things may happen outside of the property owner's control. It should not detract from your experience; it is part of the experience. For us it turned out great.

We’re so glad to hear Falcons Perch suited your preference for a more private and tucked-away stay, and that you enjoyed seeing the deer right outside the windows. It’s great that the home comfortably hosted your group and that the extra dining setup and supplies came in handy for your family dinner.
We really appreciate how well you handled the unexpected weather and power interruption with flexibility and a positive attitude. During the winter and early spring, this region can experience periods of heavier rain and wind as part of the natural rhythm of a temperate rainforest. It’s all part of what helps sustain this incredible ecosystem, home to some of the oldest trees on Earth.
We’re also glad you discovered a local gem like Mad River Brewing during that time, and that your overall experience remained enjoyable and memorable. We look forward to hosting you again!
This was a great place to stay. Had everything our family needed and more. Close enough to restaurants and the ocean but far enough away from the noise of traffic and the city. Definitely would recommend and would stay there again!!

This is just what iI was looking for for a getaway with my wife. This being only my second trip to California andy wifes first, it was swclude enough but still an easy drive to all the attractions that we wanted to see in our time here. We saw multiple black tail deer and quail in the yard. I would definitely stay here again.

The views were great, the cabin was impeccably clean. Great place to unwind and escape. Big lagoon, Samoa peninsula and the coastal Redwoods was phenomenal.

This place is wonderful and tucked away in the mountains so there is lots of peace and privacy. The house was plenty big for 4 of us, very clean. Beds were super comfy. I would highly recommend this and I definately will plan on staying here again sometime.

Thank you for the 5 star review! We're glad you enjoyed your stay and were able to make the most out of the gorgeous natural surroundings of the coastal mountain forest and mad river.
Great Cabin, Spacious and Remote enough for a quiet get away. We Enjoyed the deck with an amazing view and sounds of nature, clean and convenient. It was a bit of a drive to the Redwood national park but the great views along the way made the drive Enjoyable.

So happy you enjoyed the beautiful Falcon's Perch and location. It is a treasure and we're pleased to hear you enjoyed. We hope you can join us in the future! With gratitude from the Casago Redwood Coast team.
This was a great house to use as a home base. Far enough out of town to be peaceful, but close enough to run into town. Easy check in, and clean. We will book again next time we are in the Arcata area.

The location is wonder. The house is nice, but the house does not have air conditioning and due to the heatwave during our stay, even with available fans, the house became increasingly uncomfortable. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves.

We're glad you enjoyed the home! It is in the listing that the home does not have a/c and there's not much we can control about a regional heatwave. It is not practical for homes in the area to have a/c since we rarely see temps above 70 such as this instance. We're glad you were otherwise able to enjoy and soak up the sun and gorgeous views!
The property is off the beaten track and quiet. Sitting on the deck was a delight. The home is cozy, without having tons of knick knacks in the way. Little extras like laundry detergent, plastic baggies, kitchen towels, etc. made us realize the hosts thought through the visit. Thank you so much for these type details.
