Doe Creek Horse Ranch is private and gated for our guests, pets and the ranch's donkeys, Lyle and Lovett. You'll find two patios with comfortable outdoor furniture; they're great shaded spaces for conversation, wildlife watching, or admiring the colorful Hill Country. There's even a ranch-style country tub for an outdoor soak, and a daybed for a fresh-air nap. The back porch has outdoor lighting for a touch of nighttime magic, too!
Doe Creek Ranch is a horse-friendly vacation rental! Pictured on its barn is the cowgirl who built the ranch; she competed professionally in the riding event called "reining," and is shown sliding to a stop from a full gallop. Equine amenities include three available stalls, and a 60-foot round pen with a lighted ceiling and sand floor so it can be enjoyed day or night, in any weather. The ranch is a two-mile ride to Bandera, where horses and riders are welcomed! Guided trail rides are available there, so guests can explore the Hill Country in traditional cowboy style on horseback. Ask us for details on bringing your horses to this equestrian paradise! What's more, with the country byways surrounding the ranch, you can take a scenic motor tour, often without seeing any other vehicles.
Woodwork inside draws the eye, from ceiling beams to barnboard highlights to paneling that projects a warm glow. All is kept comfortable with central air, heat, and ceiling fans, along with a stone fireplace. There's plenty of cozy seating in the living and dining areas, and Wifi service keeps you connected. There's also a smart TV in the master bedroom, so bring along your Roku or use streaming apps for entertainment!

Excellent location, roomy and all essentials are available. Four adults visiting for the bike rally. Parking for two trucks with trailers were more than adequate. Cats, birds and donkeys were a plus!! We will stay here again!
What a beautiful peaceful experience! Close to town yet secluded and private. Attention to detail in every nook and cranny, unique and wonderful art and decor around every corner, every creature comfort cared for. The donkeys were adorable, deer and birds everywhere. We can’t wait to come back!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re so happy you enjoyed the peaceful and private atmosphere, as well as the little details. We’re thrilled you got to experience the donkeys, deer, and birds and we can’t wait to welcome you back!
We very much enjoyed our long weekend stay at Doe Creek Horse Ranch. There is space to move about outside and nice, relaxing atmosphere inside. The cabin is very clean, organized, and very nicely furnished. During our stay, we had a delightful conversation with the couple that cares for ranch. They gave us great suggestions on where visit and eat in the area. We would definitely stay again.

Sounds like a great time! Thanks for sharing your experience.
My wife and I were long overdue for a couple days free from hustle and bustle of life so we went to our preferred escape ……….Bandera. I found this wonderful place although it was a first at this particular location, it won’t be our last. My wife and I loved the place and are looking forward to the very next opportunity to stay here again.
What an interesting, quirky and fun place to stay. We really enjoyed ourselves! The donkeys greeted only one of the members of our group. Every time he was in the yard! Which was so comical to the rest of us. It had everything we needed to make meals, plus. We also met the neighbors horse and Fed the animals carrots and apples. It was a wonderful vacation and I would stay here again. We did a couple of day trips to San Antonio and Fredericksburg. Don’t forget to visit Bandera. Great restaurants and shops. Friendly folks, as well!
