If you’re looking for a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, look no further. Tucked into the trees and sitting right on the North Fork of the Teanaway River, this lovingly-restored, old-growth cedar cabin plus a separate garage apartment offer an abundance of peace and serenity. With lots of hiking trails nearby and downtown Cle Elum’s shops, restaurants, bars, and cafés about 15 miles away, you’ll find no shortage of fun activities.
At home, your outdoor space includes a large, open lawn and a spacious deck, perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Grab an Adirondack chair and listen to the sound of the river - and nothing else. Inside the main cabin, you'll find character combined with convenience. Hardwood floors, pine-paneled walls, and a cozy woodstove enhance the cabin vibes, and the open layout makes it easy to spend time together. The chef will love the full, well-equipped kitchen, which features stainless steel appliances and plenty of prep space, and the gang can eat together at the large dining table.
Inside the apartment, you'll find another open, spacious living area featuring hardwood floors, gorgeous built-ins, comfy cabin-modern furnishings, and a gas fireplace. Another full, well-equipped kitchen awaits your culinary masterpieces, and there's room for everyone around the dining table. Remote workers will appreciate the free WiFi and dedicated desk space, and everyone will appreciate another washer/dryer set, making it easy to stay on top of vacation laundry.
Spend the day exploring and then relax together in the main living room in front of the woodstove, head upstairs to the second living space to stream a movie or grab a board game, or cuddle up with cocoa in front of the gas fireplace in the apartment. Make it an easy dinner on the gas grill and spend evenings gathered around the firepit, trading stories of the day.
When you get sleepy, five well-appointed bedrooms in a variety of configurations offer a restful night's sleep for the whole gang. The kids will love the two bunk rooms, and lucky guests of the primary bedroom in the main cabin will enjoy a private gas fireplace and a spa-like en suite bathroom with a soaking tub and stone shower. Drift off to sleep, but not before ending the night with a toast your good luck at booking this gorgeous river getaway.

Thank you for being our guest.
Send me your email please for future contact. Lynn
Really enjoyed our stay here! Super relaxing and great for families. Would definitely consider adding blinds to upstairs windows though as it makes it easy for the neighbor property to look in. Bathroom upstairs could also use privacy. Overall out stay was great!
The place was everything and more, great location beautiful property and easy check in and out. Lynn was there to greet us and show us around the property, and even dropped off flowers while we were having dinner which we really appreciated. Loved the grill and the Viking stove and the large deck to relax on after hiking all day . Had great time with family and we will for sure be back.

Pros:
Really well maintained property. A lot of items were new in the house.
The property was really big and quiet.
It is right on the river, so hearing the water all the time was really soothing.
Cons:
There are no blinds in the upstairs room, so the sun comes in pretty early and makes it hard to sleep in.
My family and friends would definitely come back to this house.

A great retreat without going to the middle of nowhere
My two friends and I thoroughly enjoyed this retreat, from the quiet site right on a bubbling river, to the proximity to great Cascade hikes, to an easy jaunt to Cle Elum for groceries and beer.

Lovely get away.
This was a lovely getaway....the river, the home and its comforts....all combined to create a very restorative time. We will most likely return.
We came the first week of September, and really enjoyed the stay! 20 mins to Cle Elum, and 30 mins to Suncadia. The cabin is very clean, the appliances are stainless steel and up to date, and the furniture is very nice. The property backs into the Teanaway River, so you feel like you are truly in nature. Lots of windows in the house as well! There is a gas fire-pit and a wood-burning fire pit on property as well, and there are lounge-chairs on the patio for relaxing. The host is very kind and accommodating, he lives in the cabin next door, and is more than happy to assist you if needed.
Some minor things to note: the internet is VERY SLOW. Do not expect to get any work done online, and the phone/LTE service through Verizon is spotty as well. The water smells like sulphur - it must be naturally occurring from the well. The master bedroom is upstairs, and is in an open-plan with the bathroom - so there is no door that you can shut to give yourself privacy while taking a shower. The upstairs toilet fortunately has a separate room with a door you can close for privacy. No complaints for the downstairs bathroom.
My friends and I stayed at the property for 3 nights. Lynn was incredibly helpful with check-in. The property was perfect for our group of 5. Easy access to the river and proximity to downtown and Suncadia was a plus. The house is nicely decorated and cozy. We had a great weekend!
Coffee in the morning by the rivers edge, wine and cheese on the fantastic deck, with everything you need within a 20 minute drive and yet you feel wonderfully remote. This property is gorgeous, well-appointed and excellently located for fun or relaxation, or both!
We enjoyed our stay here - the house is close to the river and just a few miles from hiking, mt biking and fishing spots. House was clean and in order when we arrived. Just a few more utensils needed in the kitchen (bigger knives and a cutting board) but the appliances were all very nice. Beds were comfortable. Will go back again!
What a beautiful place to stay during this time of Covid. The cabin is well equipped with a great grill and other amenities. I loved the riverside location. The river was a great place to cool off after hiking all day. Numerous hiking trails were only a short drive away. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet getaway with easy access to the great wilderness area of the Teanaway region. Though I have only stayed here during the summer season. The cabin seems well equipped with a generous covered entrance and a grand wood stove. I will definitely be back for the winter season as well.
