Hassan, d'origine berbère, fils de famille nomade berbère et connaissant bien le désert en tant qu'un, car depuis son enfance, il accompagne les voyageurs pour connaître et apprécier, car très peu a été chargé de s'occuper des moutons et des chameaux de son père. Quand il avait 7 ans, il est entré dans l'école de Hassi labied et y est resté jusqu'au lycée. Lahcen ressentit l'envie de retourner dans le désert parce qu'il ne pouvait pas oublier le mode de vie qui y régnait. Hassi laborieuse où Hassan vit maintenant, c'est un petit village situé au sud de Rissani sur le chemin de Merzouga, près des dunes d'Erg Chebbi..
