Welcome to Canal Side Loft! I am Marnita Swickard and I am a resident here at Buckeye Lake. As a licensed realtor for 28+ years, my true passion is creating unique spaces that encompass the lake lifestyle.
My love for lake-living started as a child with my grandparents who owned lakefront property in Florida. Born in Florida, I spent endless hours with my family creating lake memories of swimming, tubing, waterskiing, and fishing. After graduating high school I started spending my weekends at Buckeye Lake. I knew then I wanted to create my own family lake memories.
As someone who grew up around the water, lake living is my passion. My hope with this property is for you to create countless memories and traditions here at the lake.

Built prior to 1900, this brick building has a long history of local commerce throughout the years. We had the opportunity to purchase the building from the owners and operators of the Millersport General Store in 2014. We relocated our boutique, Buckeye Lake Place from the Village of Buckeye Lake with a grand opening date of April, 2014. Local historians tell us the second floor was long used as a Masonic Lodge, meeting room, and later a coffee shop. Buckeye Lake Place utilized this space as storage until January, 2022. Canal Side Loft was a distant dream and now a reality!
