Blue Skye: Downtown Getaway
Enjoy staying downtown, where you can access all of the conveniences of town, but also have views of open space, including horses grazing, right out the front door. This ground-floor apartment was recently renovated and new beds arrived July of 2022. There is lots of natural light, which heightens the beauty of the wood floors. Come stay and enjoy the mixture of classic Bishop design with a clean new look.
*Please note that these prices include the 14% bed tax. The space: This residence faces south towards open land, with amazing views. It is located on a quiet street downtown.
This unit has beds for 4 people. For additional people, it will be $40 per person/per night.
Guest access The entire downstairs unit is yours, including a spacious living room, two bedrooms (they are small), and some indoor space perfect for bikes, crashpads, climbing gear, or a pack and play! There is a big yard, with chairs and a table to use while you BBQ or just want to enjoy the evenings outside.
Other things to note: The property is walking distance to restaurants and shops. There is also an amazing walking trail and the canal just a two-minute walk down the street. Bishop is also a great place to stay if you want to ski at Mammoth, but don't want to deal with the crowds and snow. It is an easy drive to so many other day trip destinations like Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite, Mono Lake, the ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, Bishop Creek, Crowley Lake, Convict Lake... and the list goes on.

It was a great place to stay in order to see the Fall foliage! I’d highly recommend this accommodation as the host was friendly and communicative and the apartment had everything we needed!

Everything was just perfect for us. We had a safe, very clean and comfortable space to come back to each evening after fishing! We will definitely try and rebook for next year!

This was the best communication with a host that I’ve ever had. She made it so easy to know where to park, how to get in, etc. The place was clean and bright and the beds were comfortable. My son and I stayed here and did day hikes each day. It was perfect for us and we both enjoyed the view of the pasture and the beautiful trees in the yard.

This rental has a great location to walk to town easily to enjoy the brewpub, coffee and delicious food. The walk by the canal is lovely and the horses are so beautiful to see in the pasture across the street .The outdoor spaces and gardens are a sweet place to enjoy a drink or meal. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and has nice windows and openness to let the light in .The road trip possibilities are exciting and we enjoyed exploring from the house. We really enjoyed our 4 nights, thank you!

Not only is this place in a great location and close to everything but the owner, Betsy is great! She is super helpful and gives great suggestions to great, local spots. The house was clean and was exactly how it was shown in the pictures. I will definitely be returning!

Thank you for the kind words, Lynn. I enjoyed having you stay here and hope you will return!
Great location, great space, great host. Far enough off 395 to be peaceful yet close enough to walk to restaurants, coffee, etc. So much to enjoy in Bishop and the surrounding area, and we enjoyed a good amount of downtime at the property. Having a washer and dryer is such a +. Well appointed kitchen to enjoy some meals in instead of going out. Great place!

Thank you, Charley! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay and your time here in Bishop :)
We spent a week with our daughter and son-in-law exploring this amazing area. The house was an excellent base of operations and was all that was advertised. We especially appreciated the nearby canal walk. The second bed room was a bit small but other than that all was excellent. We would certinly recommend it.

Betsy was a great host. She was very attentive and always checking in to make sure we didnt need anything. The location of the property was perfect for us since we had 2 vehicle's with trailers. Plenty of parking and we were able to ride our OHV from the property. No need to trailer up. I highly recommend staying here.

This apartment was in a really nice location, close to downtown, but not directly in it. I enjoyed the fenced in driveway and yard. The apartment itself was cute, but I observed some cobwebs and nesting areas for spiders that hadn’t been cleaned. We also weren’t provided much toilet paper and ran out during our stay. Finally, on our last morning, there were some workers out at the property working outside and in the apartment above us. They caught us off guard; we didn’t know they were coming. They were also making noise at an early hour.

My apologies if the apartment wasn't at 100%. I had a longer term renter there before you arrived and was not able to walk the unit after the cleaners we done before your arrival. I always try to do this to check for things like toilet paper and missed spots in the cleaning process, but I was out of town. I also didn't realize that the workers would be starting early Monday morning. Again, my apologies. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip.
