Van's Landings is a beautiful private home on Eagle Lake, part of the chain of 28 Lakes. Just four miles from the town of Eagle River. It is located in a quiet bay with a level, sandy, weed-free swim area. This is a year round house for spring, summer, fall and winter vacations. The fall colors are spectacular and the snowmobile trails are a very short distance from the back door. This home has maple floors and granite countertops. The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked. You can snuggle in front of the gas fireplace or watch satellite TV. There is a gas grill ready to cook the fish you just caught. There is a new 40 ft. pier so bring your boat or rent one at one of the nearby marinas. Sit on our deck and watch the deer or listen to the loons. There is a fire pit to make s'mores at night. Linens/towels are provided. Fiber optic internet/wifi available now! 1G!
There are two separate bedrooms each with queen size beds on the 2nd floor and the master bed room has a new king size bed. There is a full bathroom on the second floor. On the first floor, there is a bedroom with a single bed and a full bath. The 1st floor also features a sunroom with a pull out single bed for sleeping. We absolutely loved the property it far exceeded our expectations.

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Delores and Dave the owners are fantastic to work with and extremely accommodating. I highly recommend staying at their property and I know for next years hockey camp week we will be staying here again.

Our stay at this home was perfect! The house is better than the pictures make it look. It’s cozy and the location on the chain of lakes couldn’t be better. The house is well equipped and communication with the owner was easy. Hoping we can make this an annual event for our family.

All About the Lake

We enjoyed the peaceful cove and wide open views of Eagle Lake. The kitchen had all we needed to enjoy some fine meals, and the deck afforded many sweet evenings watching the afterglow of the sunset.

Wonderful Lake Home

Our family enjoyed an amazing week at Eagle Lake! This beautiful lake home had everything you would ever need! Very clean, beautifully decorated, great swim area for kids, easy access to town. Owners were wonderful to work with and gave us great information about the house and surrounding area. Will definitely stay here again when we return to Eagle Lake!

Beautiful Spot

We could not have asked for a better spot to have our Labor Day vacation. The house was clean, and had everything that we need. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of games for the kids. The water was beautiful, and the dock was available for a boat, which we definitely rented. I would recommend this place to anybody, and we will definitely be back.

Great week on the lake

Awesome rental in a great location. House was beautiful inside and out. Pier and beach worked great for docking two boats and swimming. Area of lake fairly calm which was great for learning to kneeboard or ski. Less than 5 minutes to drive into town for supplies or shopping.

Couples get away

This property is a gem! It was one of the cleanest properties I have ever seen. The house was stocked full of everything that we needed. There were ample utensils for the kitchen and endless paper towel lying and toilet paper. The property sits on beautiful Eagle Lake with a dock for a pontoon rental. I would definitely stay again

PERFECTION!!

This lake home was perfect! Everything is modern and updated: 2 bathrooms, kitchen, air conditioning, furnishings. The home is well insulated so even though other lake homes were near by, we never heard a noise. Kayaks, row boats, paddle boards, life vests, fishing poles, firewood....everything we could have possibly needed or wanted was here. The owner has paid attention to every detail! We will definitely return!!

Great cabin on the lake!

We really enjoyed this property. I love how close it is to town but still feels so remote in the woods and is beautiful on the water. The lake access with the pier is so nice for the kids, fishing, and watching the sun rise and set. We also used the fire pit a lot, the life jackets, and the canoe. The house had really good space for our group of 8 and it was very clean. It came pretty well stocked aside from wash rags and towels. The owners were very kind and the access to the house was simple. We also enjoyed area activities at Pirates Hideaway, local restaurants, Sausage Fest downtown, peanuts ice cream and Kartway. Definitely would stay again!

Great Lakehouse for Us Older Folks

My husband, mother, and I just had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this lovely beach property with plenty of swimming, kayaking, and lounging around. I am disabled and my mother is 92. There are railings on the deck stairs, the yard is relatively flat, the water is close and easy to access. One of the bedrooms is downstairs with bathroom close by, and an upstairs bedroom is also next to the bathroom. The house is clean and beautifully decorated with many comfortable chairs. The owner was easy to contact and helpful for any issues. It’s not always easy to find a property that works for those who are less able to get around. This one fits the bill.

Eagle Lake house

It is overall a great property. The house is extremely will equipped and furnishings are high quality. Dock is very new and high quality. Plenty of water toys and outside seating for the fire pit as well as the deck are really nice and in good shape. Kitchen has every utensil known to man. Dishes and cooking equipment are high quality. I think this house would please nearly everyone. If you do bring a trailerable boat I suggest you put the boat in the water at the public ramp before coming to the house as the lane is narrow and difficult to maneuver with a trailer. Adequate space to park the trailer but much easier without the boat. The location on the lake is great and in the middle of the chain of lakes. Just a wonderful place for an up north water front vacation. Owners were very communicative with any questions. One last thing outside grill is a high quality Weber which is in keeping with the rest of the property.

Great property, property owner was stressful

This house is fantastic, especially with young kids. Our 2, 4 and 6 year old loved it! Comfortable, great layout, lawn down to nice beach. Property owners care deeply about keeping it in tip-top shape. The firepit, dock, paddleboards, kayak, etc, all add to the experience. We really had no reason to leave the property and the kids played happily all day. The first few days however were a bit stressful, as the property manager was staying right next door, and was a helicoptor-manager, stopping by as she pleased. She often overstayed her welcome during "drop-by conversations", and one time walked into the house and proceeded to ask if she could eat one of our muffins. It was completely out of line, especially during a pandemic. Once I told her we were taking the Covid situation seriously, she seemed to get it, and left. But the drop-by's continued. During one "check-in", she made us feel guilty because the kids were playing upstairs, and upon hearing their laughter and feet running, she said "oh no, I hope they aren't tearing it apart up there". I was able to let a good amount of this roll off my back, and overall the trip was great - but it definitely took some of the relaxation out of the trip. I also want to note that the owner is very very nice, it just seems she has a different expectation for where the line is for interactions with renters.

Nice home but poor communication and issues

I received texts not from VRBO to send my deposit I already paid to another party because of a Covid hospitalization. I refused as I figured it was a phishing hack. I called VRBO as well as messaging the owner and nothing was done. I reached out to the owner several times prior to our visit to ensure all was ok. Owner contacted me a week before the stay and said it wasn’t them and that they were hacked. Upon arrival to the home we were greeted by a very irate and rude renter of another property owned by this same owner demanding we flip the circuit breaker in our rental as it controls her tv and Internet. The TV and Internet runs from this property to her other properties and per the angry neighbor this had been occurring for quite a while. We received over 10 interruptions to our stay from this neighbor to keep flipping the faulty circuit breaker so the neighbors could have Internet and tv. We had no internet or tv either and had to let 3 !different repairmen into the home over 3 days while we tried to relax. The home has no washing machine and the oven intermittently didn’t work well. The backyard/docks are squeezed between 2 other docks and another impolite neighbor yelled at us to get my 6 yr old off her dock- there was no way to tell who owns what dock. I tried several times after my stay to communicate with the owner through VRBO and email about the issues with our stay and she refuses to answer or attempt to make anything that went wrong with our stay good. Docking our boat at the house and the views were nice, but overall lack of any communication and the home not being in working order ruined our relaxation.

Wonderful getaway

The property is in a great location. The house is very clean and comfortable with everything needed for an extended stay. The check in and out process was very efficient. The owners were very helpful and provided anything we needed (even a little equipment repair). I highly recommend this location for your next get away.

Excellent property for a winter stay for snowmobiling. Great location where you can ride directly to and from the property via the lake. House was clean and well furnished, also well insulated and heated as it was -20 during our stay.

Flawless stay

Everything went right. The place was amazing and the hosts equally so. We cozied up in front of the fire, enjoyed watching deer through the massive windows, xc skied on the lake. We couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more. The hosts were extremely responsive to every question we had. We chatted on the phone a couple of times and they’re so friendly,. Dolores even let us check out the other properties next door! We’re booking it again for next year!

Just right for Up North

Beautiful spot on the western bay of Eagle Lake in Eagle River. Home was well done, clean, what we needed, and what we were looking for. Level yard to a sandy (no weeds!) beach and lakefront….perfect for the kids as they could still stand towards the end of the dock. Great outdoor setting with deck, fire pit and few steps to the water. Only a few minutes to town. Our best location up north so far….we’ll be back!

We live in Glenview, IL. I am currently an Art Therapist working with children and adolescents. I have been going to Eagle River all my life. I've spent every summer in Eagle River as long as I can remember. Nine years ago I built a new house. I love fishing right off my pier and snowmobiling in winter.

Why they chose this property

Eagle River is the best vacation destination. There is everything available within a short distance. The North woods are inspiring. In order to have others enjoy this special location and my incredible house, I have decided to rent out my home for the times we can not be there. Enjoy!

What makes this property unique

This beautiful house is next to the woods, right on the lake, on a quiet bay. It is on a level lot, with a sandy flat beach. We have a private pier and provide a free kayak and fishing boat. The house has granite countertops and maple floors. The view is incredible.
