About this property
Walk to Beach • Hot Tub • Pool Table • Ideal for Long Stays
Welcome to your peaceful place at the beach. This thoughtfully maintained 3-bedroom, 2-bath home on Oak Island is just 2.5 blocks from the Atlantic Ocean—an easy walk past Middleton Park with its playground, splash pad, and green spaces. Whether you’re here to relax, work remotely, attend a nearby wedding, or settle in for a longer stay, this home offers comfort, calm, and true coastal charm.
Inside, you’ll find a clean, minimal design created for both rest and everyday living. The home comfortably sleeps six with one king and two queen beds. Enjoy fast Wi-Fi for remote work, smart TVs, a washer and dryer, and welcoming spaces to unwind. The pool table offers relaxed entertainment, while the covered front and rear porches invite morning coffee and evening conversations.
Step outside to a fenced yard and a private hot tub—perfect for winding down after beach days or busy work schedules. The quiet, family-friendly neighborhood is ideal for couples, professionals, snowbirds, and wedding guests seeking a calm and respectful environment.
This location is especially convenient for traveling professionals and extended stays, with easy access to Southport, Leland, Bolivia, and the surrounding areas. Guests attending local weddings or events also love the walkable beach access and peaceful setting.
Please note the property layout: This is a shared property. A separate tiny house is located on the same lot, and our office is situated at the rear of the main house with its own exterior entrance. All guest living spaces are fully private and reserved exclusively for you; however, the buildings are closer together than some properties. Guests seeking total seclusion may prefer a standalone home.
For easy island living, an optional 6-passenger golf cart is available for an additional fee with a separate agreement.
We take pride in maintaining a clean, respectful, and well-cared-for home. You’ll find a welcome letter inside with helpful information and a few house-care notes (including our preferences regarding sand in the house and hair in bathroom drains) so everything stays comfortable for you and future guests.
This is not a party house—it’s a place to slow down, breathe in the salt air, and enjoy Oak Island at a gentle, restorative pace. Whether you’re staying for a weekend, a season, or something in between, we look forward to welcoming you.

About the host
Hosted by Latane Forester
We are longtime Oak Island locals who love the quiet beauty of coastal living. Hosting allows us to share this peaceful place with others who value rest, respect, and simplicity. We take pride in caring for our home and creating a clean, comfortable space where guests can truly relax—whether for a weekend getaway or a longer stay.
Why they chose this property
This property was originally a honey bee farm that once produced local honey for the community. When we purchased the land, the original bee shack was thoughtfully converted into a tiny home now known as “The Bee Hive.” The Bee Hive is owner-occupied.
The property spans three lots and is fully fenced, offering a peaceful, well-maintained setting while still being close to everything you might need or want for your island getaway.
Please note that while the main home and guest areas are completely private, this is a shared property with the Bee Hive (tiny home) located nearby. The dwellings are in closer proximity than some properties, making this a great fit for guests who appreciate a respectful, quiet, community-style setting rather than total seclusion.

What makes this property unique
What makes this home special isn’t just its location—it’s the feeling you get when you arrive.
Set on a fully fenced three-lot property just 2.5 blocks from the Atlantic Ocean, our home offers a rare blend of walkable beach access, space, and serenity. You’re close to everything Oak Island has to offer, yet tucked into a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood that feels calm and unhurried.
This property carries a unique story. It was once a small honey bee farm that produced local honey for the community. The original bee shack was thoughtfully converted into a tiny home known as “The Bee Hive.” While the Bee Hive is owner-occupied, the main home and guest areas are fully private. That original spirit of care and stewardship still shapes how this property is maintained today.
Inside the main home, you’ll find a clean, minimal coastal design created for both relaxation and everyday living. Unlike many vacation rentals, this home is truly comfortable for longer stays, with fast Wi-Fi for remote work, a washer and dryer, thoughtful storage, and inviting spaces to unwind. The private hot tub, pool table, covered porches, and fenced yard add layers of comfort that make this feel like a home—not just a place to sleep.
Another thing that sets us apart is how intentionally the property is cared for. We believe a well-loved home creates a better guest experience. Guests often comment on the calm atmosphere, attention to detail, and the sense that this is a place meant to be respected and enjoyed.
Our home is especially well suited for guests seeking something beyond a typical beach rental—traveling professionals, couples, snowbirds, wedding guests, and anyone longing for a peaceful, restorative stay. This is not a party house; it’s a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and enjoy Oak Island at a gentler pace.
If you value walkable beach access, quiet surroundings, thoughtful amenities, and a home cared for with intention, you’ll find something truly different here.
