Built during the Lincoln Era, this architectural gem is a destination to Key West classic Bahamian-style design. Originally a Conch Republic estate, this dream retreat embraces and soothes you with upper and lower wrap-around porches under a tin roof, Dade County pine floors, crown moldings, and Old World craftsmanship. This grand mansion begs for your company with a frosty beverage in hand and a balmy breeze to carry away your troubles. Sitting under a wild orchid tree on Southard Street, you are a stone's throw from the magic and excitement of Duval and the historic seaport. Slip on your comfiest flip flops and ease on down to fabulous dining, boutiques and galleries. A contactless check in/out process with a virtual innkeeper allows for a seamless experience!

DETAILS AND AMENITIES...
Your serenity begins as you pass through the white picket gate and step foot on the lush grounds of this vibrant and picturesque estate.Take a break from reality out on the front porch as you soak up gorgeous tropical views. A blend of coastal decor and tropical-chic accoutrements captivate your bohemian soul and beckon you inside the front door. As you enter, take a cool respite in the parlor that offers plush seating, a Keurig machine, unlimited coffee k-cups, microwave, ice machine, and a filtered water cooler. Read your favorite novel by the light of tropical sunshine or turn on cozy lamps when the sun sets. A wall-mounted TV offers an alternative diversion while you are waiting for your night out on the town. You will also find extra towels and an area for storing luggage during your arrival or departure. A lovely, small powder room is located at the base of the stairs for your comfort and convenience.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS...
This king studio is located downstairs and adjacent to the pool area. It is wheelchair ramp accessible and offers wide floor space as well as a shower with seat for ease and mobility. A closet and dresser offer ample space for your belongings and you can enjoy your wall-mounted TV when you need a rest from your island outings. Enjoy a Keurig machine for your morning cup of coffee as well as a mini fridge for all of your essentials.

OUTDOOR LIVING...
The exquisite upper balcony and lower porch overlook a large, sparkling pool (heated in winter months) and beautifully landscaped garden deck. Wash your cares away with a swim and enjoy a fruit-infused cocktail in your deck lounger. Discover your zen amid the lush vegetation and cool island breezes.

There is street parking only. You may park on the street in spaces not marked as residential. There are several non-residential spaces in the surrounding area, and also a pay lot less than 2 blocks away, but you can usually find something on the street.

Drove through the keys and stopped a few days in Islamorada then to Cudjo key. Our last stop was in Key West where we were staying three nights. We had never stayed at Scarlet Mango Inn, but our stay was most enjoyable. Everything that we wanted to do, eat and see was within walking distance. The rooms were great, clean and had a comfortable bed. If any issues or questions arose the manager would quickly respond. All my friends have heard about this place and been told to check it out.

Smooth check in. Lovely property and great room. Comfortable bed. Convenient location. No complaints there. A little tough finding a parking spot on the street arriving on Friday late afternoon, but did find one a couple of blocks away. Since walking or riding bikes is what everyone does, once settled, not a problem.

A little paradise in Key West

This place is a true paradise nestled in the heart of Key West’s old town. After a day at the beach or a delightful dinner at one of the restaurants near by, we would spend our afternoons relaxing and soaking up the sun at the swimming pool. Our room was absolutely gorgeous, and the surrounding landscape was simply breathtaking. Definitely, we will be back and stay in this place every time we come back to Key West.

A little bit of heaven

Very lush and beautiful. We loved the location of area and of our room, the Julie. Very private and pool right outside our door. Everything we needed was there. Parlor was lovely and nice place to hang other than your room. Front porch with rocking chairs were the cherry on top. Lovely vacation stay.
