Vanceburg is home to this holiday home. Philip Moore Jr. Stone House and Boneyfiddle Commercial District are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Ohio River Valley and Ohio River. Portsmouth Floodwall Mural and Vern Riffe Center for the Arts are also worth visiting.
The house is adorable, equipped, clean, quiet, safe, cozy, and comfortable bed. This is exactly what any hotel wishes it were. Loved our stay. Thank you!
The accommodations were very clean and nice. Property owners very responsive. The Bar across the street was very noisy our first night but not a deal breaker. It is just kind of too far from anything, we had trouble finding somewhere to have dinner Friday night and Saturday but spent the day in Augusta on Saturday and checked out early on Sunday. The bed was very comfortable and the park across the road was nice. If the property were anywhere else I would definitely stay again but don't think I will return to Vanceburg just for a weekend away.
Good place to stay if your looking to get away from your busy life and stay in a quiet peaceful town next to the Ohio River. There is a handful of mom and pop restaurants in town or if you get bored you could make short 30 min drive to Maysville or Portsmouth Oh for food and antique shopping. There is also a small kitchen with coffee maker, toaster, microwave, frig, and hot plate. Price was very fair! Would recommend to couples who want peace and quiet and who maybe like antique shopping in nearby Portsmouth.
