This was a great property for a couple to stay. We visited Oktoberfest in Munich, and the walk to the S-Bahn was short and manageable. The property itself was well kept and clean. Danke for a lovely start to our vacation!

Wonderful

Clean, quiet, modern apartment. The location might not appeal to some but I loved it. A 30 minute train ride from the main station and you are in a quiet little community with an actual field of grain growing on the other side of the street but still within a 5 minute walk to a large grocery store and several restaurants.

Quiet & convenient

We spent the opening weekend of Oktoberfest at this lovely apartment in a quiet suburban town outside of Munich. It’s very convenient to get to using the S Bahn train, and then it’s a short walk from the train station to the apartment. Just FYI, there is a very short stretch of road that is more gravel than asphalt so you’ll need to pick up your rolling bags. Our hosts were very communicative through the app, and check-in was easy. The apartment itself had everything we needed for our weekend, including a great coffee maker, excellent water pressure in the shower, and a well lit entryway for our nighttime arrivals. The trains ran all night because of Oktoberfest so we had no concerns about getting back to our place even though it’s outside the city. There’s also an amazing traditional Bavarian restaurant in the main town, which you definitely need to check out if you’re there. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect for Two

Apartment is exactly as pictured and described. 5-6 minute walk to the S2 train station which is in Munich within 30 minutes. 2-3 minute walk to a large grocery store with anything you could want. Three small restaurants within 5 minute walk and many restaurants 2 stops away on the S2 train in the area of Dachau. Apartment had comfortable bed and table for 2, along with microwave/convection oven as well as regular oven. There is a short section of gravel to get to house from train station and there is one flight of steps to go down to get to the apartment. Very nice outdoor seating area which was great since we had perfect weather in late Sept 2024! We went to Oktoberfest and to Dachau and explored Munich, but we did not have any of the noise and commotion from staying inside the city. Definitely recommend!

Hallo und vielen Dank für die positive Bewertung. Es gibt allerdings in der Umgebung einen Edeka Supermarkt und 2 Restaurants die fußläufig in 3-4 Minuten erreicht werden können.

Off the Beaten Track

This is a great place to stay if you want to be near Munich and Dachau, but not in the city. It is easy to get to by train, a 7 minute walk from the train station. While we drove, we took the train to Munich one day and found it to be very easy and convenient. Rohrmoos is a small town, but has a great Italian restaurant nearby. The apartment was perfect for the two of us. We used the refrigerator as we like to make our own breakfast in the morning. We didn't use the oven or stovetop, but would have if we were there longer. We would have used a microwave if there had been one, but we managed without. While the apartment is in the basement of the homeowners house, we had a separate entrance and rarely heard anyone upstairs. We walked the approximately 2 blocks to Edeka, the closest grocery store for all of our needs. We would gladly stay there again if we found ourselves near Munich in the future.
