The hosts was great to communicate with. Everything was so smooth. There is a Dollar General down the road if you need quick groceries. House was clean and in good shape. We loved the creek behind the house.
We had a family emergency and the owner was so kind in making sure we had a place to stay. We truly appreciated the help! The house was wonderful and the creek in the back was awesome for kids.

We appreciate your kind words, Ruthy! We’re so glad we could offer a place to stay when you needed it. Glad you and the kids enjoyed, and hope to host you again soon!
We had such a great stay! We loved playing in the creek, having fires at night in the fire pit, grilling out and spending a day at the lake. Blue Springs Marina is close-by, and it was just a short trip to gas stations or the store, if we needed something. We loved the charm of the property and would definitely stay again!

Great little slice of heaven. Nice place to relax and enjoy a fire after a long day of riding the trails. Comfy beds and a hot shower are all we needed. It has both amd more. If ever coming back this way we will definitely check this place out again. We had a great time
We rented this house for a Christmas gathering and it was perfect for us! Plenty of space, good location for everyone and had everything we needed. We look forward to coming back in June! The host was very responsive, we even added 2 extra days to our stay!
This place was so peaceful. My kids loved seeing the fireflies at night time. We were in town for a wedding in Harrogate and this was the perfect location. Thanks for hosting us!!

We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay, Jamie! We find the property so peaceful and we’re happy your party did as well. Hope to host you again soon!
We have stayed at quite a few places, and I can honestly say that this was my favorite. The home was exactly as described in the listing and the minute you opened the front door you could tell it was clean and comfortable. The outside was very peaceful with the waterfall and the firepit and string lights at night make it the perfect place for smores. We definitely will be back and highly recommend staying here..
Loved the creek that runs in the back of property. Would have loved it more if the weather was better. Next time we will come in May not April. Overall a ok experience
The farm style house has great bones and is very unique with lots of character. We enjoyed the quite location that it offers with no distraction. It's just a short walk to the creek where you can enjoy the fire pit while listening to the sounds of the water flowing over the old mill dam. We will definitely be back.
The house itself is cute, but obviously very old and nothings been updated, which is okay. But there is an obvious plumbing and sewage problem, the odor of raw sewage is strong.

We hate that your stay didn’t live up to your expectations. We strive to provide a five star experience, so anything less is not the expectation we set for ourselves and staff. We appreciate your feedback in regards the possible sewage issue. The home was checked by us and plumber with no issues found. We did take that opportunity to clean the garbage disposal and flush the lines, just to be proactive. We did not smell any sewage odor before or after, and recent guests have not had any resembling issues. So, we can confidently say that this issue has been resolved! The home is definitely older, but we feel as if that adds a nostalgic and charming touch to the property. We also try to make it known when booking that the property is older. Upon booking, each guest receives a link to a guidebook with house rules, general info, and info pertaining to the history of the home. It does mention the year that was built, so that way guests are aware that the home is older. We also give guests the chances to cancel, penalty free, if they are unhappy once seeing the guidebook. Our photos are also chosen with the intention of accurately depicting the character of an older home, so that way there are no surprises upon guest arrival. While we enjoyed the older farmhouse style, a few updates have been made over the years — especially in the bathroom and kitchen. We have tried to merge the old charm with newer conveniences which is why you will see some newer appliances and bathroom updates, but also original cabinetry and hardwood floors. Again, we hate that you didn’t enjoy your stay. Had we known about any issues before you checked, we would have tried to rectify them in any way possible to improve your stay. If you’re ever back in the area, we’d love a second chance to make your stay perfect!
Our visit was great. It was the lack of follow through afterwards that has been beyond disappointing. My son left a jacket at the property, and it was found. I've asked so many times if it can be sent to us and that I'll pay for shipping, and have been told that it will happen. But ... it's been more than three months and there is no action. I travel regularly and this is not what good looks like.
