Frontier Days Get Away

Drove from Michigan to Cheyenne with Family for Frontier Days, had a great time, nice place for our needs to stretch out and relax between events in town!

We booked this property thinking it would be a better deal that the hotels. It was Cheyenne Frontier days and you could tell that this property owner was just scalping prices for this event. The walls were scuffed and dented. The vents in the house were covered in old dust and debris. The single bathroom had a toilet about a foot off the ground and the seat was not very accommodating for a grown man. One of the bedrooms that claimed to have a queen sized bed was so old and worn that nobody in our party could sleep in it as it slanted toward the middle, so one of the couples were forced to sleep in a double. NOT as advertised, in my opinion. There were three individual air conditioning units in the bedrooms but it wasn't central air so the rest of the house was rather toasty. The bathroom had been partially updated but still had slashes in the dryway, and agian... the toilet. The kitchen curtains didn't cover all of the windows so you did feel quite exposed. The whole house just felt like a squatters den and I was not comfortable staying there one bit, and for the price we paid, we definitely felt taken. But again, Cheyenne Frontier days, capitalism, supply and demand... I get it. However, I will not be fooled again by staying at this property.

Not the end of the world but be aware: The AC was a standing unit in the family room, trying to blast to the bedrooms. So it felt cold in the family room and hot in the bedrooms. The bedrooms were sparse. There was no dishwasher. The location was pretty convenient. I would not walk around at night there without others. Nice touch that they left us muffins. There was no email communication at all with the owner so no way to contact them if needed except thru the app; an entry with the check in/check out details was placed on the app.
