The fine dining restaurant offers a comfortable atmosphere that can provide intimate space for a couple reconnecting or a larger, separate space for a group celebrating a special event. The view overlooking the rolling hills of coastal Maine is the perfect backdrop for your casual fine dining experience. Please join us at our restaurants, where the ambiance is inviting and the cuisine inspired
Rian’s Pub at The Lucerne Inn offers a relaxing and casual space to have a bite, create new friendships or have a drink. The bar showcases an authentic old fashioned bar area that could fit right into a mid-18th century pub in Dublin. Several local beers are available on tap as well as many popular favorites. Many special spirits are available upon request. Our pub food isn’t your usual pub food. We proudly take the traditional ideas of pub food and give it a twist, adding a modern spin to an old classic.
GOLF:
The Lucerne Golf Club is a classic Donald Ross course conveniently located on the Bar Harbor Road, Route 1A, between Bangor and Ellsworth, Maine. Open to the Public.
The course overlooks Lucerne Lake and is across from the Lucerne Inn. Play a quick early morning round as early as 7:00 a.m. or enjoy our spectacular views at sunset during summer hours, 7:00 a.m. until dusk.
ACADIA NATIONAL PARK:
Acadia National Park: In 1913, President Woodrow Wilson set aside 6000 acres (within what is now Acadia National Park) as Sieur de Monts National Monument. With the acquisition of more land and private support and funding, in 1919 President Wilson signed an act establishing Lafayette National Park. In 1929 the parks name was changed to Acadia. Acadia National Park was established to protect the area's spectacular scenic values, Maine's rock bound coast, its coastal and its offshore islands as characterized by the geologic features, natural history and the native plant and animal life. Forty five miles of rustic carriage roads weave around the mountains and through the valleys of Acadia National Park, the gift of philanthropist John D Rockefeller, Jr., and family. Rockefeller, a skilled horseman, desired to travel on motor free byways via horse and carriage into the heart of Mount Desert Island. His efforts resulted in roads with sweeping vistas and close up views of the landscape.
Cadillac Mountain: Cadillac Mountain: At 1,530 feet, Cadillac Mountain is not only the tallest mountain in Acadia National Park, but also the tallest mountain along the eastern coast of the United States. Rising high above the town of Bar Harbor, Cadillac Mountain offers magnificent views of the Porcupine Islands and Frenchman Bay. Explore the summit of this granite mountain along a .3-mile trail, which includes wayside exhibits about natural and human history. Portions of this trail are accessible to wheelchair users. Cadillac Mountain is accessible via a winding, narrow, 3.5-mile road. The road is closed from December 1 through April 14 and whenever weather conditions (e.g., dense fog or ice) require.
