4 bed, 2 bath Miller Beach Welcome to Mi Casa Dune Casa located one house away from the Sand Dunes of the National Lakeshore and in the town of Miller Beach! Everything is updated with lots of room for gathering and fun! As you enter the home, you come upon a large dining room with a flatscreen streaming tv., completely open to the kitchen that has a huge island that can almost seat everyone! Lots of counter space for entertaining and equipped with modern appliances. The kitchen is very well stocked for dining and entertaining. There are 3 bedrooms on the main floor and one full bath. Bedroom #1 has a King bed, flat screen streaming tv. Bedroom #2 has a Queen Bed and Streaming flatscreen tv, Bedroom #3 has a Queen Bed and Streaming flatscreen tv.  There is a main level living room with an huge sectional for seating and 65" flat screen and gas fireplace. From there you can access the backyard from a patio door. Perfectly set up with ample seating and dining, Hot tub, fenced in yard, fire pit and a gas grill.  The Lower Level has a lounge feel with a pool table and a ping pong topper, so you can pick whatever game you desire. There is another flatscreen, bar stools, pub table and couches, so there's room for everyone. There is a bathroom with a shower and the bunk room. 2 bunk beds, twins over full! The laundry room is also located in the lower level.  The home has beach access just outside the front door via two public access ways and just a short walk to Lake Street Beach.  The Miller Beach neighborhood has over 20 miles of interconnected biking and hiking trails, linking the Miller South Shore station, the Douglas Nature Center (western National Park visitor’s center), as well as downtown shops and restaurants. You can take the Chanute trail and experience a paved path linking Lake Street Beach to the Historic Gary Aquatorium in Marquette Park, where the beaches, playgrounds, and dunes overlooking the Chicago skyline create the perfect family picnic spot.  Hike and bike a wide variety of gorgeous scenery!  Bike east on the Marquette Greenway trail to connect to other places within Indiana Dunes National Park, Indiana Dunes State Park, and other towns in Northwest Indiana.  Get on a trail in 10 minutes from anywhere here! In the mood for a baseball game, we have the Gary Railcats affordable and fun for the whole family. Close to the New Hard Rock in Hammond, Michigan City! You can jump on the South Shore and be here from Downtown in about an hour!

Brava, Dunes Casa!

The location is great. The beach is within a long walk (not ideal for those with mobility issues). The backyard was a dream and perfect for hanging out. We had a group of ten (adults and teens) and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and lounge around. Plenty of towels and blankets to go around. The hot tub was a hit and everyone is looking forward to returning.

Dune Reunion

It looked small but we had plenty of room because "it's bigger on the inside." Plenty of towels and kitchen equipment. High wave warnings restricted some of our beach time but all in all it was a good week. The property manager was quick to respond to our inquiries. A handbook, outlining operating instructions, check out procedures, garbage day directives, etc. would be a good addition to this location.

Great space!

The home was very welcoming, nicely organized, well stocked with linens and towels, VERY clean, and comfortable. Everyone who stayed had a comfortable place to sleep as well as different places to gather and hang out. Plenty of "Wows!" and " never would have guessed the amount of space from the street view". We are thinking of making a trip back for the summer months to get the full benefit of how close it is to the beach. I also needed space to prep for a rather large birthday event. The large dining room table and extra place in the living room were crucial to being able to get everything together. Thank you for the fantastic stay!

ABOUT THE OWNER

Monica started North Star Properties with one goal. To better serve the Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan Area with a concierge service mentality for short term rentals. From the North suburbs of Detroit she was bred to be in the real estate industry. Both of her parents were entrepreneurs. She watched as her father built Gauthier Corporation, a very successful construction company, which is still running as strong as ever. Her mother started a cleaning company that meticulously made sure every home shined like the top of the Chrysler building. Working for both of her parents growing up, she understands the drive and passion it takes to achieve success. Prior to starting North Star Properties, she sold real estate on the Northside of Chicago before moving to the Dunes and making a permanent home.
