This makes for a total of six beds!

This was an excellent choice for us as we had a wedding at the Diamond Spur Event Center. Our contact host always replied promptly. Very convenient to book and checkout. Great area and access. Our group will book again when needed in this area

Awesome family weekend!

We LOVED staying in this house! We're a family of 4 (two adult children) It was beautiful, well appointed with everything we needed, comfortable, spacious. Loved spending time with our family and extended family who were also in the Black Hills in other locations. Our rental was the gathering spot in the evenings and it couldn't have been better. Also loved the central location for Black Hills fun and the proximity to Hill City. We would absolutely rent here again.

Bridesmaids Dream Weekend

We booked a 3-night stay for a wedding at the Diamond Spur, and this home couldn’t have been more perfect. It’s conveniently located just minutes from the venue, yet set back on a hill for a peaceful and private retreat. The house comfortably accommodated all 8 of us, with plenty of space to get ready, play games, relax, and enjoy meaningful conversations. The high-end finishes throughout added a touch of luxury that made the weekend feel extra special. The property itself is stunning—the bride and groom even chose the scenic area behind the house for their private vows and first look. Staying here truly elevated an already ununforgettable wedding weekend.

Beautiful House in a Great Area

We had a fabulous time. The house was in a perfect area and was beautiful. It had a very nice layout as well. We really enjoyed the covered back patio with the gas fire pit every morning and night. We did have some issues with the cleaning staff but we discussed it with the host and she was going to talk with her as she said it was out of character. I would highly recommend this place as it is in a great location also.

Do Not Risk Your Vacation on this

Our stay was a disaster. The property manager failed to communicate with us, through your site, which is the site that I made the reservations on. The phone number she provided on your site was disconnected and we did not receive instructions to access the house on the day we were supposed to occupy the property. I received cryptic emails that the property was ready but no instructions attached and no reply communication. We were required to make alternate reservations at a hotel at the last minute on a weekend in which all the hotels were booked for a soccer tournament. We are disputing all charges to our credit card. Despite my repeated requests on October 21 to call my telephone number, the property manager did not. I did not hear from her until the afternoon of October 22, after which time we were already required to make alternate reservations at a hotel in Rapid City. I would never rent from this person again.

This review is based on her lies that she did not receive our emails. Which I have proof she did both from VRBO and Lodgify. I think this woman was wanting to book in Custer SD and this property is in Hill City SD. And now is creating lies. I did call her I did message many times. She is trying to get out of paying and saying this is fraud. Dont rent to this woman. It was a horrible experience.

An unbelievable property! Perfect.

The pictures do not do this house justice. It is a large, new home with all the bells and whistles (great sound system in living room). Driving up, we could not believe that this was our place for a few days. The master bedroom is large with a remote-controlled fireplace. The master bath is enormous with a huge closet and double shower. The kitchen is the most well-stocked of any short term rental I have ever seen. We did a lot of cooking. Big, new washer/dryer. Every single morning we were there the deer would come to eat in the backyard and we could lounge in the living room watching them. So peaceful. It’s a short hop to Hill City. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful. The check-in process was so easy. I cannot recommend this property enough. If it wasn’t a 10 hour drive from our home, we’d be there often! I can’t imagine staying in another short-term rental or VRBO that measures up to this one.

Perfect & Picturesque

This lodge was a lovely place to stay, nestled in the hills of South Dakota. We were blown away by the exceptional interior and attention to detail in both design and furnishing. We came away with a lot of respect for the owners! We saw deer outside our window every day and you could even see horses grazing out in the distance. We would 100% stay here again, only we would stay longer next time. It was only about 19-23 minutes to Rapid City, Mount Rushmore, and the Needles Highway — easy commute to all of the major attractions. Highly recommend.
