Glad you enjoyed your stay, hope you can come again!
A great little get away retreat house!! Very cozy and fun! We enjoyed the games in the basement especially the fooseball! Maybe a little better darts would be good as it was tough to get used to them. Amanda was available to chat with when needed and addressed our questions right away! Awesome host!!Two of the four of us went snowmobiling over the best groomed trails we have ever ridden on. Great location just outside of the busy town and fairly quiet with the exception of the sort of busy road- no loud sleds passing by all night! Saw many deer on Round Pond while snowshoeing! Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay at!Warmly,Tina and friends

Our family spent the entire summer at this very well appointed camp in Rangeley. Lots of space for the littles on the occassional raining day and close to downtown Rangeley for library, beach, and dinner runs.

Communication for check in was great. Home was very well equipped. Plenty of dishes and cookware. Our sleeping space was roomy and comfortable. We enjoyed the large and open living area. We also were able to spend time on the spacious deck and use the firepit! We would definitely stay here again and recommend this home to others.
This is a beautiful home with a gorgeous view of the mountains and lake. We enjoyed the ample sleeping space, comfortable living area and strong on the deck enjoying the view. Our kids loved the game room! The property is an easy drive to Rangeley village and nearby hikes and waterfalls. The host was wonderful to work with. We highly recommend it and will think of it in the winter for skiing-it’s obviously cozy and well suited for that season as well.

This is a beautiful cozy cabin to stay at for all your outdoor activities. The cabin was very clean and had all the essentials for cooking. The location is close to everything we needed for supplies, groceries, gas, and dining. Amanda was very good at communicating with us. We are looking forward to staying here again for skiing and snowmobiling!! Thank You
The cabin is just as advertised, it was really lovely inside, had many amenities, the kitchen was well stocked and the living/dining area was a great place to relax. The porch had a nice view and was great for morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The trip to town was only about 5 minutes so it was pretty conveniently located too. Overall a relaxing stay.

Our family of 6 plus one pup spent a wonderful 3 nights at the Rangeley Cabin. There was plenty of space for the teens to spread out and the wood stove made the house super cozy in no time. The ride to Saddleback was quicker than we expected and we like being central between Rangeley village and Oquossoc. All around great stay and we hope to return!

The home has everything you need. Plenty of space to gather, a great view, a peaceful setting, and all the little conveniences to feel like home. We were on a fishing trip, and everything we needed to make meals was available, as well as games/tv/space to unwind at night. Communication was easy and pleasant, there are notes in the house explaining various devices, and check-in was simple. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at the plush cabin for a long weekend while we skied at Saddleback. It was perfect! Clean, cozy, convenient and comfortable. Host was wonderful - super friendly and responsive. The place was toasty warm when we arrived and during our stay. (There are extra heaters in the bathroom and room with bunk beds that help if you have the fireplace cranking right next to the thermostat like we did.) We’ll definitely try to book again for our next trip to Rangeley!

So glad you loved our Rangeley getaway! Looking forward to hosting you again!
Property was as advertised in listing and then some! One of the best places we have stayed at in Rangeley. Kitchen was well equipped with anything you may need. I cooked a Thanksgiving meal and although I brought a lot of my own supplies, I probably could have done without! The place was extremely clean and really comfy beds. Hosts made check in so simple and even turned the heat up before arrival so we were welcomed by a warm home. Would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting to stay in Rangeley!

My husband and I visited Rangley for the Logging Festival, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We had the pleasure of staying at Amanda's vacation retreat home in Rangley. The house is beautiful, every thing was spot less; it's settled just off the road with in some trees. From a distance you can see one of the Rangley lakes. I was hoping to catch the night sky with out light pollution, but the weather was against me.Amanda was just a text or phone call away if we needed her.The house is just a short drive to the center of town, in the evening when the traffic has settled down it's very peaceful. I'm hoping to return next year with my family.Diane M

About the host
Hosted by Amanda Wallace
We’re a native Mainer and a northern New Yorker who fell in love with Maine many years ago and have been proud to call it home together for over 15 years. As an adventurous young family, we spend as much time as we can exploring this incredible state—whether it’s hiking the mountains, paddling the lakes, or soaking up salty air on the coast.
Rangeley quickly became one of our favorite places because it offers the complete package. Few spots in Maine combine year-round adventure, breathtaking scenery, and a true sense of community the way Rangeley does. In the summer, we love swimming and kayaking on Dodge Pond, hiking Bald Mountain, and ending the day with a sunset that lights up the sky. In the fall, there’s nothing like a drive to Height of Land to see the colors explode across the mountains. Winter brings skiing at Saddleback and snowmobiling right from the cabin’s driveway, and spring means waterfalls, fresh trails, and quiet time before the summer buzz begins.
Hosting is our way of sharing this special place with others. We’ve poured care into making the cabin both cozy and modern so that it feels like a true retreat, while still having everything you need for a comfortable stay. We want guests to experience Rangeley the way we do—waking up to mountain views, spending days in the great outdoors, and winding down by the fire with family and friends.
Our hope is that you’ll not only enjoy the cabin itself but also fall in love with this part of Maine, just as we have. Whether you’re here for adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, we’re excited to share our home and help you make memories that last long after your stay.
Why they chose this property
As a ski family, we fell in love with Saddleback many years ago, and its reopening and revitalization in 2020 only deepened that connection. When we found this home, we immediately knew it would be the perfect basecamp for exploring everything the Rangeley and western Maine mountain region has to offer. The location blends quiet, peaceful surroundings with unbeatable access to adventure.
What we love most about this neighborhood is that it feels both tucked away and perfectly connected. The house overlooks Dodge Pond, so sunsets are the views are always stunning. Yet downtown Rangeley is only a couple of miles down the road, offering restaurants, shops, and community events. The snowmobile and hiking trails nearby let you head straight out the door for outdoor fun, while the wrap-around deck and yard at the cabin provide plenty of space to relax without going anywhere at all.
For us, this spot captures the best of Maine—mountains, lakes, wildlife, and a welcoming small-town spirit. It’s a neighborhood where you can be as adventurous or as laid-back as you’d like, which is exactly why we chose it and why we’re so excited to share it with guests.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin perfectly balances privacy and accessibility, just off Route 4 between Rangeley and Oquossoc. Enjoy stunning west-facing sunsets over Dodge Pond from the living room or wrap-around deck, or relax in the private backyard around the fire pit. The location gives you quick access to Saddleback and nearby town amenities, while still feeling tucked away in your own section of woods—the best of all worlds! Saddleback is just 11 miles away, a boat launch is 2 miles down the road, and you can (usually) hop on Maine’s Interconnected Trail System for snowmobiling right from the driveway. For modern comforts, we offer brand-new high-speed Fiber internet for remote work or streaming, plus a fun game room for après-ski evenings or rainy day hangouts.
