About the host

We’re a native Mainer and a northern New Yorker who fell in love with Maine many years ago and have been proud to call it home together for over 15 years. As an adventurous young family, we spend as much time as we can exploring this incredible state—whether it’s hiking the mountains, paddling the lakes, or soaking up salty air on the coast.

Rangeley quickly became one of our favorite places because it offers the complete package. Few spots in Maine combine year-round adventure, breathtaking scenery, and a true sense of community the way Rangeley does. In the summer, we love swimming and kayaking on Dodge Pond, hiking Bald Mountain, and ending the day with a sunset that lights up the sky. In the fall, there’s nothing like a drive to Height of Land to see the colors explode across the mountains. Winter brings skiing at Saddleback and snowmobiling right from the cabin’s driveway, and spring means waterfalls, fresh trails, and quiet time before the summer buzz begins.

Hosting is our way of sharing this special place with others. We’ve poured care into making the cabin both cozy and modern so that it feels like a true retreat, while still having everything you need for a comfortable stay. We want guests to experience Rangeley the way we do—waking up to mountain views, spending days in the great outdoors, and winding down by the fire with family and friends.

Our hope is that you’ll not only enjoy the cabin itself but also fall in love with this part of Maine, just as we have. Whether you’re here for adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, we’re excited to share our home and help you make memories that last long after your stay.

Why they chose this property

As a ski family, we fell in love with Saddleback many years ago, and its reopening and revitalization in 2020 only deepened that connection. When we found this home, we immediately knew it would be the perfect basecamp for exploring everything the Rangeley and western Maine mountain region has to offer. The location blends quiet, peaceful surroundings with unbeatable access to adventure.

What we love most about this neighborhood is that it feels both tucked away and perfectly connected. The house overlooks Dodge Pond, so sunsets are the views are always stunning. Yet downtown Rangeley is only a couple of miles down the road, offering restaurants, shops, and community events. The snowmobile and hiking trails nearby let you head straight out the door for outdoor fun, while the wrap-around deck and yard at the cabin provide plenty of space to relax without going anywhere at all.

For us, this spot captures the best of Maine—mountains, lakes, wildlife, and a welcoming small-town spirit. It’s a neighborhood where you can be as adventurous or as laid-back as you’d like, which is exactly why we chose it and why we’re so excited to share it with guests.

What makes this property unique

Our cabin perfectly balances privacy and accessibility, just off Route 4 between Rangeley and Oquossoc. Enjoy stunning west-facing sunsets over Dodge Pond from the living room or wrap-around deck, or relax in the private backyard around the fire pit. The location gives you quick access to Saddleback and nearby town amenities, while still feeling tucked away in your own section of woods—the best of all worlds! Saddleback is just 11 miles away, a boat launch is 2 miles down the road, and you can (usually) hop on Maine’s Interconnected Trail System for snowmobiling right from the driveway. For modern comforts, we offer brand-new high-speed Fiber internet for remote work or streaming, plus a fun game room for après-ski evenings or rainy day hangouts.
