Welcome to Rosige Zeiten—Holiday in a Half-Timbered House!
We rent out our historic, lovingly renovated half-timbered house in the historic centre of Kommern. The cottage features an enclosed courtyard that offers space for relaxation and rest.
We were also affected by the flood disaster on July 14, 2021, and the water reached a height of 1.60m on the ground floor. We are delighted to welcome you back now following extensive renovation work. 
We’ve furnished our cottage with carefully selected antique furniture that offers every comfort. The unique decor creates a cosy atmosphere that takes your mind off the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Low ceilings, crooked walls and floors, and steep stairs are all part of the charm of a half-timbered house. The spacious, comfortable bathroom with a walk-in shower and bathtub leaves nothing to be desired. If you’d like to warm up by the wood-burning stove when the weather is bad, firewood is, of course, available in the courtyard. Otherwise, the underfloor heating on the ground floor ensures a cosy atmosphere. When the weather is warm, a sturdy column grill sets the holiday mood. Bicycles or e-bikes can be stored in our lockable shed, which has a power outlet. In our reading room, guests have access to a selection of Eifel crime novels and a wealth of informational materials. Due to the age of the cottage and its status as a historic landmark, the staircase is steep and lacks a railing (see photo of the upper-floor hallway). We do not recommend this cottage for children under 4 years of age.
The historic town centre, just 100 metres away on foot, features a bakery, a restaurant, and a wine shop offering French specialities. Supermarkets such as Rewe, Aldi, Lidl, and dm are located 1.4 km away on the outskirts of town.

On-site costs: Final cleaning is included in the price. Dogs are allowed only by prior arrangement (maximum of 2 dogs permitted); a special cleaning fee of 50€ per dog applies.



Check-in is available from 4:00 PM to midnight, and check-out from midnight to 10:00 AM.
