The place is nice! Big enough for a family of 7. Makes things easy with towels, bedsheets, and kitchen supplies available. The pool was super nice especially for the kids. Love the location with the canal, we went fishing a few times off their. There were some pool floaties to use.The place was clean minus the toilets two of the 3 still had dry urine on the ground/seats.The deck fan we couldn't use..not a big deal.Deep freezer was frozen shut so couldn't use that for the bait, the sweeper wouldn't work so we couldn't use that during our time, also some light bulbs probably need changed in the fans so we used the lamps.. not a big deal. Also the lamps by the couch need glued back together. We learned those the tops knock off easy when turning on.

If you’re looking for an inexpensive place, this place is for you. It was very comfortable for the 5 adults. If you like stairs there is plenty for your work out . The only draw back was the carpet upstairs could use a cleaning. But all in all this place had everything you needed. I contacted Jessica about the pool having quite a bit of leaves in it and the next day was cleaned. Thank you Jessica.

Great place!

This place is so nice and comfortable that we stayed here two years in a row. The location is super convenient to beach, restaurants, and shopping. I appreciated the extra amenities provided by the management company (soap, toothbrushes, etc.)

Fun Family Vacation

The condo was nice and spacious for 5 adults and 2 kids. The pool was nice, warm and just the right size. Great location to Sombrero Beach, shopping and restaurants. Thank you!

Excellent!

Great 4BR house for friends and family trip. Very clean, has comfortable beds, and pool was nice. Had it heated when there in January. Close to Publix which was convenient and close to Sombrero beach. Would definitely stay there again.

Spring Break

The property was not as well maintained as the photos showed. Many lights and ceiling fans were dirty or broken. There were very limited towels. The house sleeps 8 with 3 bathrooms, there were 2 hand towels and 3 wash clothes. The 5 cup coffee makes was so small and slow we had to go buy another one. 2 of the toilets ran continuously. The pool area could use a spruce up also. The boat dock was great. The location was fantastic. But overall the house was disappointing

Good location and size of House

We enjoyed our stay but there are definitely some things that need to be fixed. Unfortunately we had to call maintenance two or three times in the first two days of our stay. The smoke detector in the upstairs bedroom went off two different times and the one in the downstairs bedroom went off the next day. The toilet in the hallway bathroom upstairs also stopped working and we had to call maintenance. it still needs looked at because it just doesn’t have a lot of water pressure. The fan on the porch, also needs to be looked at and we ran out of propane for the grill after grilling out one day by the pool. Location of the house is great, the size of the house for family is great,and we did appreciate the swiftness of the property manager and maintenance when we didn’t need them. I would recommend the house and we would stay again. We would definitely need some of those little things fixed.

Spacious. Great location. Could use a little TLC

Nice layout out for a group of friends or large family. Great location, 5 min to sombrero beach. 20 minutes to bahia honda. Close to Cranes point landing and a few good bars and restaurants. In need of some repairs. Dishwasher was broken. Pool fillter was leaking. Furniture was a bit shabby. Outside ceiling gan was broken. It would be a perfect place if there were just a few repairs and upgrades.

Lovely stay on Marathon Key

House was great. We had 3 generations of family and there was plenty of room for all of us. House had more than enough kitchen items and towels. The pool is not large, but was heated which was so nice. Sombrero beach was a half hour walk or a short car ride away. We had no problem finding parking at the beach. My son fished off the doc and caught 2 small fish. The only thing which would have added greatly to our stay was a supply of beach chairs. Having infants with us and needing to cart their supplies, we had no room to pack our beach chairs. Overall everything was great and we would love to stay at here again.

Great location but not big enough for our group

When we originally booked this property the listing stated occupancy of 10- at some point this was bumped down to 8. By the time we saw this change it was too late to make a new reservation and I feel like it was something like a bait-and-switch, as we would not have booked a lower occupancy property and it should have been less expensive. That said the location was great for our group- easy access to groceries off the highway. We did walk to the beach once so that isn't out of the question but usually we had someone drop us off since it was a 10-15 minute walk from the house. Pool and amenities were fine. The dishwasher basically seemed broken and we couldn't find a dustpan. Texts to the property manager about these issues went unanswered the entire time. If these issues were resolved I would give it a higher rating. As it is I would caution vacationers.

Good location but slow communication with issues

We had a great time in this nice 4 bedroom home with a boat dock and pool. We hand plenty of space for everyone and the table sat 8 so we could play games. I was disappointed that the unit was not very clean and the previous renters had brought a black haired dog which covered the stairs, couch and master bedroom. That was upsetting because it was not cleaned up before we got there and then to make it worse we couldn’t get a call back Saturday night or all day Sunday and it wasn’t until Morning day that someone responded. They did send someone out to clean it and replaced all the sheets and comforters and said they would refund me $500 for the trouble, been home two weeks and have yet to see that. Something to keep in mind is that they only supply a few rolls of toilet paper, one roll of paper towels, 3 pods for the dishwasher and no coffee filters so with a group of 7 and yes we did disclose our party size prior, we had to go buy all of that. The beds were comfortable and the location was excellent

Nice house in a nice location but not ready for renters

This property was a new rental and needed much more preparation for renters. The silverware was inadequate along with utensils, glassware etc. Overall the house was dirty (walls, fans, furniture, shower curtain etc. The carpet on the stairway was filthy with fingerprints all over the stairway walls. The linens were ripped and worn or not in the bathroom at all. The bedding was worn. The shower drain plate had no screws attaching it to the shower floor. The dishwasher had a broken arm and the refrigerator's back wall was broken. The lamp fell over on the end table as it wasn't secured. No light bulbs were available. The TV in the bedroom was not set-up and the remote had dead batteries. The living room TV had no instructions available. The pool area (not the pool) was dirty and two of the lounge chairs were broken. The pool pump was leaking. They came to fix it to no avail. The garbage cans had no lids and raccoons were visible at night. The recycling can should be marked. Overall, this could be a nice rental but would not recommend it in its current condition.

Great and Terrible at the same time

First thing to mention about this property is that it absolutely DOES NOT sleep 10. There are 2 king beds, 1 queen and 2 twins. It sleeps 8. We had 10 people in our party, 4 adults and 6 kids. We had assumed that the couch was a sleeper sofa since it said sleeps 10, but it is not. When I asked where the other 2 people were supposed to sleep I was told couch or air mattress. I asked if an air mattress was there and I was told they thought so. There was not an air mattress there. My son who is 6’2” could not fit on the one couch there. So needless to say, we were not happy at all that they said it slept 10 and it clearly sleeps 8. I asked if pool towels were provided, they said yes, there were only bath towels there. I sent a message and the owner immediately brought over 10 new beach towels, so that was great, the owner was nice. The worst part though was that the kitchen and Master Bedroom off the kitchen was infested with ants. We had a Saturday to Saturday rental. I sent a message on Sunday and they didn’t send someone until Thursday. It is completely unacceptable to charge someone thousands a week for a rental and they have to live with bugs everywhere for 6 days. I messaged the property manager about the ants a second time ( Tuesday I believe) and she never even responded to me. The location is amazing, the property was great, the pool was very small though (kids enjoyed it and the owner was very nice and said we could put the heat on whatever we wanted).

I’ll preface this review by saying we would stay here again, but with hopes some of the cons would be fixed. Pros: *Location is great. You can walk to many things, including grocery stores, a museum, and the beach (our party did walk to all of these). • Ample parking. We comfortably parked three vehicles and could have fit another. •Home had both heating and cooling- great since we were there during a cold snap with lows in the low 50s. •Pool was good sized and heated (a wonderful surprise!). We could fit all nine of us in it (eight adults and one child) while visiting. •Good welcome information packet and goody bag. •Lots of towels- adequate for a large group showering and using the pool. • There are kayaks (we didn’t use due to weather and wind) and some pool toys. • Furniture was comfortable. Cons: *Trash/recycling o Bins are not rolling, so if you don’t have a party member strong enough to haul them full, you may have trouble. o There are no lids, so with wind things will blow out and rain will get in. Because of this we left aluminum cans in a plastic bag on the top of the recycling bin, which then wasn’t picked up the day we were told to have it out (we ended up hauling it to a recycling site ourselves so we still had room in the bin). The pickup days/times were also prior to when we had to checkout, so there was a lot of trash/recycling left in the bins when we left. •There weren’t cleaning supplies. By this, I am referring to a broom (dustpan was there), Swiffer, or something similar. When staying somewhere for a week you’d hope to have something to keep the place clean. I can understand needing to purchase additional trash bags, dishwasher pods, etc., but it seemed odd not to provide anything to keep floors tidy. We ended up wiping down the floors partway through the trip with paper towels and spray cleaner we had purchased. There was also no sink stopper to do dishes by hand, so we ended up using a solo cup to plug the drain. • As the listing shows 10 people would be accommodated, This would be incorrect. There were only three spoons and eight usable plates (two were flaking/visibly damaged- not surprising since the style is not dishwasher or microwave safe and in a rental). •There were not basic spices (only salt) • Basic maintenance is lacking - *Drain filter/trap of dishwasher was full. We discovered this when it wasn’t washing well and a member of our party cleaned it *oDryer vent needs to be cleaned out. -too many to list here

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfy and nice having 2 king bedrooms. The kitchen is well equipped. Loved having our own pool and glad we paid for the pool heat because our stay was during the cold snap. We had to contact management for one issue and they were very responsive. The location is nice with the beach down the road and grocery stores close. Wish we would have utilized the kayaks. Maybe next time.
