The space
This sunny home, furnished in an eclectic New England style, has a spacious main living area with a huge leather couch for relaxing with your loved ones. There is a gorgeous dining table for dinner, connected to a well-appointed kitchen that is great for cooking. A beautiful wooden beam, salvaged from the original 1600’s homestead on this site, runs the length of the room.
The 4 season porch opens off of the dining area, is furnished with a breakfast table and couches and a heater, and has views of the Koi pond and garden. The first floor also has a master bedroom with a king bed, another bedroom with two twin beds, and a spacious full bath with two sinks and views across to the mountains.
On the second floor there is a game room with a card table, a 65 inch flat screen TV, and a large selection of games and puzzles to enjoy with your friends and family. The game room opens onto a balcony with views of the mountains, the perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening drink.
There are two lovely bedrooms with queen beds on the second floor as well, one of which is outfitted with a motorized standing desk and workstation. There is a second bathroom on this floor with plenty of room and a lovely view.
On the third floor is a stunning wood-paneled room with huge windows that look out over the landscape towards the mountains. The room has two very comfortable twin loft beds, accessible by ladder. Please note that loft and bunk ladders are potentially dangerous and guests agree to use them at their own risk There is also a twin over full bunk bed, a couch and an easy chair for hanging out, and another workstation, transforming this room into a beautiful office as needed.
There is a shared hot tub, directly behind the main house and below the balcony on the patio, landscaped gardens, the wood fire pit in the middle of the field, and a gazebo for a quiet retreat.
Guest access
Guests have full private access to the main house, balcony, and 4-season porch. The basement is off limits to guests, but laundry may be available upon request. The hot tub behind the main house and the fire pit in the field are both shared, as are the gardens and the gazebo.
There is parking in a driveway immediately in front of the house.
Other things to note
There are two additional rental units in separate buildings on site. This listing is for the "Main House". Please be advised you will likely see and hear other guests while on the property. However, we do strictly enforce noise ordinances after 10pm and have noise meters on site.
Please be aware that some outdoor amenities are shared and some are reserved for specific units.
The hot tub is shared by all three units. General hours for the hot tub are 10am to 10pm. After 10pm the hot tub is reserved for guests of this unit (the main house). Guests of this unit may use the hot tub any time (24hr).
The hot tub is open year round with minimal down times. We only shut it down for required cleanings and try to do this when it doesn't impact reservations.
Please note that the onsite pool is NOT available for use by the main house guests, but is reserved for guests of the cottages. There are a number of beaches nearby if you are looking to swim.
