We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and found everything to be just as described. The place was very clean and the bed was comfy. The kitchen had everything you could need. It was a great place to use as a base to explore the nearby parks and historic areas.
The house fit our family perfectly. It was well supplied with everything we needed to rest and recharge after hiking and climbing in nearby Wild Iris and Sinks Canyon.
Spent a night here between tent camping trips in CO & WY. Shower & laundry, nice to have a kitchen and hot running water for dishes - creature comforts, lol! House is fantastic, very comfortable bed & living room furniture. Do make sure to go out after dark to stargaze, some of the best we've seen out west!
The cabin was in a pleasant location about 18 min south of Lander. We enjoyed the view and the “home-like atmosphere of the cabin. It is far enough from town to be quiet and surrounded by beautiful scenery, but you don’t have the option of “running” to the store for a couple items.
The cabin is as advertised and Cassandra was a great host who helped us quickly with some minor problems.
Nice place.
Great location, good property. The main issue we had was a power outage, but that was the utility's fault. Bathtub could use a non-slip surface... this is a concern for older guests. Note that two bedrooms are upstairs in a loft area; ceilings are low but I had no problem. Older guests will have to be in the downstairs bedroom. Location is amazing. Hosts are great.
The cabin was well equipped for the most part. The accuracy of the listing is suspect. There is a pool table, but the pool cues have no tips on them. There is a grill, but it was likely last used a century ago, is rusty and in total disrepair. There is a washer and dryer, but you will need to supply laundry detergent.
In a previous review it was mentioned that the bath/shower floor was slick and hazardous. This problem still exists. I went to a local hardware store, bought a bath mat and put it in the tub. I did not leave the mat as the owner can spend $10 to remedy the problem.
The temperature inside the cabin could have been warmer.
Liked comfy, clean bed and pillow. Cool place with much potential but the whole property was needing attention to maintenance and cleanliness . There were dead moths and flies on the floors and the mouse traps and mouse droppings were concerning.

Stay
The cabin needs some tender loving care. The inside was fine for what me needed but the house in general needs to be maintained. Not sure about the addition, grill was not clean and the grounds are not keeped up.
They need a bath mat for the shower. The overall condition needs attention, looks tired.

Cute mountain cabin in Lander
This cute mountian cabin provided our family with a half way stopping point between Yellowstone and our home. However, we arrived at the cabin and immediately noted that the cabin smelled of cigarette smoke. With three children with asthmatic conditions, it would have been helpful to see that information noted in the description of the cabin. We encourage future renters to make note.
Thanks so much for sharing your cabin with us during the race!! And aHUGE thank you for your help making sure we made it out for the night. We’ll definitely be back in 2024!!
We loved our stay at this sweet cabin. It was well outfitted (except need more blankets!) and a fun place to stay during a gentle snow fall. Our dog loved hiking around and playing on the snow. We hope to be back in the summer to gather with our family!
I am so thankful to have discovered this amazing cabin in Lander. I was in town for 5 days for a NOLS event. at the last minute decided to bring my dog. The cabin is cozy, clean and just perfect for a gettaway. I brought a beats pill speaker which was terrific to have some tunes while sipping my morning coffee watching the sun rise.. The bed was super cozy. I did not spend time upstairs. No need to. The TVs are in the bedrooms. I watched some great football games by the fire on my lap top. If you are looking for a high tech AV weekend this might not be the spot for you. I was NOT looking for that and did find what I needed and love. A beautiful spot with amazing views and wide open spaces for long walks with the dog. Well stocked kitchen, bath, and gas fire.
The stairs are a bit treacherous so this is a wonderful place for able bodied souls. Thank you!
