About this property

Century-old log cabin! Hot tub, game room, fire pit, 5 min from Pigeon Forge

Welcome to Greenwood Historic Cabin! Step back in time in this original, hand-built Smoky Mountain cabin. While experiencing a unique, old-time ambiance, you'll also enjoy modern comforts and amenities including the hot tub, chimnea outdoor fireplace, game room, large screen TV, fast internet, and more. Nestled into the edge of the forest at the foot of Bluff Mountain in Pigeon Forge, you'll be transported to a simpler time, close to nature and focused on family and friends.

As you enter Greenwood Cabin, you'll feel the cozy embrace of the welcoming living room with its original stone fireplace and period antiques, inviting you to settle in and enjoy a long, pleasant conversation with your loved ones, read a good book, or watch a movie.

Head into the kitchen where you can create delicious meals, pop some popcorn, brew a cup of joe, or just skip the cooking and enjoy carryout at the kitchen table from a choice of hundreds of local restaurants. The decor will almost make you believe you've traveled back in time, but check out all the useful gadgets and appliances hidden away in the cupboards and drawers! It's a well equipped kitchen, with every pot and pan, plate, bowl, serving platter, and utensil you might need.

The two main bedrooms are furnished with queen sized log beds with the comfiest mattresses you can imagine. A common area in the back of the cabin has a twin sized bed with forest views. A clothes washer and dryer are available on site for your use, and there is flex work space for professional or school work.

Outside the front door you can rock on the porch as you enjoy the woodland and mountain views. Relax in the warmth of the hot tub, grill up a masterpiece and dine on the deck, and toast marshmallows over the fire in the chimnea. Enjoy a game of corn hole on the side lawn. Amble over to the game room and play shuffleboard, giant connect 4, skeeball, pub games, board games, and more!

***GREENWOOD CAN BE RENTED IN CONJUNCTION WITH PROPERTY #3544651, "Chrome Sweet Chrome", a vintage Airstream caravan located next door, if you need more room.

Cozy getaway
I liked this cabin. They had a hot tub and firer pit on a beautiful porch to set on at night. Grill to cook on and a game room. There was even a high chair for children and a pack and play to sleep in. That was great ! Great shopping to.

Senior trip with my granddaughter
Very nice, clean close to Pigeon Forge. Loved staying there. Took my granddaughter and daughter and 2 friends. There was enough internet for the teenagers and enough relaxing. Hot tub and chi-mania was also much fun. The girls loved the Game room. Fun place.

Amazing location
We were down for the Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion Aug 24 - 27th and wanted something close to the action but far enough away so we could relax. This property fit this perfectly. Everything we needed and more was in the cabin ready to use if we wanted. The hosts were awesome, i had some booking issues and they worked with me until i was able to figure out what went wrong. ( definitely on my end ). Would definitely stay here again.

Host profile image
We're Abby & Bill, owners of Greenwood Historic Cabin. We've traveled all over the U.S., Europe, and parts of Asia, often staying in privately owned lodgings and enjoying the ambiance and amenities that a home-style stay provides. So we're delighted to host travelers who, like us, want an individualized experience--a home away from home. We're always available to answer your questions, and hope you have a wonderful stay here in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Why they chose this property

This neighborhood is deep within the mountains--at the foot of Bluff Mountain and with views of Hatcher and Piney Mountains--while being very close to the Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and. Gatlinburg attractions. It's also a lovely drive to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It's easy to access without having to drive on any steep or narrow mountain roads.

What makes this property unique

This is one of the very few original, hand made log cabins left in the Smokies. It has been lovingly restored, with luxuries and amenities added that bring it into the 21st century. It is tucked into the forest, so there's privacy and great views, but it's also close to the Pigeon Forge action.
