Beautiful Bayou getaway!

We had a fabulous weekend at this property. We are a group of three adult couples (empty nesters) and this home and property was exactly what we needed for a quick getaway. Clean, well stocked, great communication and the scenery is just amazing. We enjoyed the pool, the dock, the grounds and accommodations very much.

Birthday week

The property was exactly as described. Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at Belle Chenes. The house was spotless, the kitchen well equipped, the views incredible and the beds were very comfortable. John and his wife were fantastic host- very responsive to our questions. We especially appreciated the thoughtful birthday welcome. We highly recommend this host and property.

Even better than we expected

We've stayed here in both winter and summer, and it was great both times. We enjoyed the pool both day and night, and no bugs found us there thanks to the breeze. On the property we've seen a fox, a box turtle, and a bald eagle nesting in the tall tree on the beach. This place is a treasure.

Gulf of Mexico view

Beautiful 4 bedroom home. Master bedroom and bathroom were wonderful, except on the second floor. (I was not expecting this, as it was not described in listing.) Location of bedrooms needs more clarification. WiFi was not available until midday of day two due to a previous storm before our stay. This lack of WiFi impacted my daughter in law’s work and my Type I Diabetic son’s blood sugar monitoring along with his pump. The owner did push to get internet up and working as soon as possible. Pool was unusable the first day but we enjoyed it thereafter. Pool furniture was old and not very user friendly. Patio furniture was great. Kitchen was wonderful with everything we needed. The property with the beautiful oak trees is as described. This property is overall an excellent place to rent. (I won’t be able to rent in the future due to babies on the way.) Also, before renting, ask the owner about the camera that is clearly visible in the dining/kitchen area. It is, at a minimum, set to record. Not sure if he can remote in and monitor. Nothing was in the listing regarding this camera or offering to allow us to shut it off. Per VRBO, indoor recording is not allowed without permission.
