The Location was convenient to central Tampa, where we spent most of our time. The space was nice, but a little tight for 2 people. The bathroom was very small (had to sit on the john sideways). The host was helpful but had trouble addressing my concerns about the TV.

charming place, but couldn't sleep

I really liked the little room except for a few crucial details. The smell of the chemical in the toilet was impossible to avoid, despite my efforts to close off the bathroom and air the place out. I like it very dark at night, and there was light coming in the window of the front door, also from the electric outlets. I covered them all as best I could, but it was still troubling as I am so concerned about light pollution and its detrimental effect on birds, insects, and humans: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2627884/ Also, the mattress was not firm enough and tended to trap heat, perhaps because it was a foam.

Hello Rani & thank you for your feedback. We would have loved nothing more than to make your stay with us more accommodating if it was mentioned during your stay. Our cleaning crew uses organic cleaning supplies from Amway, and leave a wall plug in “fresh boat”. The mattress is indeed a foam mattress, but we could have gotten you a topper to help you cool down during your resting hours. The outlets are equipped with motion censored night lights so that guests would find it easier to navigate through a dark room if needed; other guests had thought the room was too dark.

Was unable to enter the driveway upon arrival. They have a pressure washing business and truck was being washed, blocking drive. Box for key was programmed incorrectly with wrong code. Very frustrating as I thought I was doing something wrong. Owner did come out pretty quickly, was pleasant, changed code and did open the door. She said sometimes their system doesn't change the code right. Room was very clean but I did not like the perfume smell from the plug-in air freshner. I had to unplug it due to my allergies. There was a TV in the room but very hard to use remote. A booklet in the room would have been helpful. Also, I could not turn off the ceiling fan, again no instructions and a booklet would have been helpful. Bright light shines into the room at night from the outside door, no curtain to close. There is a mini blind but it doesn't do much to block the light. The bathroom was very clean but very, very small. I can't image a large person in there. My knees were touching the wall sitting on the toilet. The bathroom toilet and sink area is about the size of an airplane bathroom. The shower itself is okay size. There were some barking dogs the first day that I got there but they quited down after dark. The owner seems nice and with a few modest changes I would have rated this place excellent, but not quite up to the excellent status due to the above issues.

I loved that it smelled very good, everything in the studio was clean and I loved the blue color of the whole room. outside it was very quiet and I liked that too
