Everything was excellent! The house is very clean and furnished comfortably with delightful decor. The location on the water with the small beach was perfect and there is plenty of seating to enjoy the view indoors or out. The bedrooms are quiet with comfortable bedding. Quiet neighborhhod is nice for taking a walk. If it was warmer we would have loved to go kayaking. We have already booked a second stay in the fall!
A true gem: spectacular location on a quiet and safe street. The backyard was perfect for the kids to play in the sand and there is even a small community playground that we discovered a short walk away. House was clean and well appointed. April was quick to communicate with questions before and during our stay. The only reason why I am not giving it an overall five star rating is that a few minutes after the heat kicks on, there is a series of extremely loud clanging noises. This caused us to wake up a few times throughout the night, even with a sound machine going. While I would not come back again during the off-season due to this, I would love to return over the summer months when the heating system is not in use.
My daughters thoroughly enjoyed their stay. They found the house well furnished, equipped, and loved the location. We intend to rent your cottage again.
This home is perfect in every way! Not a detail was missed of either comfort or necessity. The views are priceless!! We hated to leave. Would stay again without a doubt!
We loved this property and had such a great time with our daughter. The beach was perfect for her to play in the sand and having the kayak/ paddle boards available were such a fun addition. We wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend and plan on coming back :)
The place was as described in the listing and photos including the river view. It was fully furnished, well stocked, and nicely decorated. The enclosed sun patio was bright and comfortable even on a rainy day. The host made the check-in easy and was responsive to questions. The place was indeed a little gem.
We were pleasantly surprised by this lovely view, the comfortable sunporch and well appointed home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return!
The host was very responsive and helpful.
Check out was a breeze!
My husband, Mom and daughter stayed here as it is close to the Coastguard Academy. They had a wonderful time, the setting was perfect and everything was clean. If they had one negative it was that they couldn't work the TV!!! Would stay here again.
The view of the bay is wonderful with some wildlife. Linens and bedding: luxurious. Kitchen: quite complete. LIving areas: varied and plushwith lots af different places to sit and look out at the view. Beach patio for afternoon cocktails. Cozy dining room for dinner. Breakfast coffee in the Kitchen Garden. Walk to the Three Belles Marina for lunch. Modern, but the 1939 original house peeks through all the time. It's like staying in a friend's house with family photos, etc. Very personal and warm.
The place sits in a quiet neighborhood right on the water with a cute patio nice yard and little beach. Was too cold for water activity but great for watching wildlife having a coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. Close to town. Has everything you need. Would come back in a heartbeat.
This was a nice place to spend a week. It’s right on the water and the house itself if cute and comfortable. The check in was a bit tricky but I think that was more Vrbo issue. However the host was very available and nice. I left and item and she was super accommodating in assisting me to retrieve it. Definitely would stay again!
The views from this property can't be beat! It's an idyllic location right on the water, in a quiet neighbor. We watched birds and fish, and sunrises and sunsets. We loved that the house had a sunroom, so when it got cold (or our first day, it rained), we could sit in there and still feel like we were outside, without being right out in the elements. The sunroom was also very bright, so even thought it was rainy, it still felt bright. The house is all one floor, so if you have anyone in your party who has difficulty with stairs, this is the location for you. The living area was perfect and the house had everything we needed. This is also a great location, where you have all that Niantic has to offer, but it's not far from Old Saybrook or Essex. The owners could not have been nicer or more prompt responding to us, and even though our stay may be considered "out of season", they made sure a table and chairs, along with adirondack chairs for the yard, were still out for us to enjoy. Highly recommend!
