About the host
Hosted by Cathy Griffin

As a Canadian-American, I have fully embraced and embodied the true spirit of Southern hospitality. Along the Gulf Coast, from Louisiana to Alabama to Florida, I have experienced the warmth and charm of southern culture. Originally from the Northeast, I found myself drawn to New Orleans, La during the late 70s. It was there that I immediately fell in love with the authentic Southern way of life.
While I hold deep appreciation for my Northern roots, the South's zest for life, arts, and culture captivated me completely. Mid 2000s I ventured to South Alabama, discovering a unique blend of laid-back living with quaint towns like Fairhope. I love this area's coastal lifestyle and relaxing Gulf Coast beaches.
In Pensacola, Florida, I found another reason to fall in love with the South! The vibrant, eclectic downtown scene, with intriguing eateries, breweries, and nightlife. The luxury of being close to Pensacola Bay added to the allure. Recognizing the charm of the historic neighborhood, I knew I had stumbled upon a gem. Here, I transformed a shotgun house into a sanctuary that shines my adopted Southern charm!
One wonderful aspect of this home is its location—conveniently close to downtown's cultural center while being minutes away from pristine sugar sands of the Emerald Coast in Pensacola Beach and Navarre. The possibilities for exploration and enjoyment are boundless here!
Meeting new people and sharing the rich culture and charm of the Southern Gulf Coast is a passion of mine. Hosting guests and ensuring they feel at home while respecting their privacy brings me immense joy. I find it endlessly fascinating to connect with kind-hearted individuals from all walks of life, as they enrich my own journey with their unique stories and perspectives.
I firmly believe that everyone deserves a break from the demands of daily life—a chance to step back, unwind, and embrace the present moment. It is in the remarkable gulf coast experiences where True Southern Vibes live.
