This farmhouse was the perfect property for our family of 8. Very spacious and we had everything we needed. The homeowner was prompt and courteous in answering our questions. The visit was just too short. We wish we had more time to enjoy the hot tub and grounds. This home is definitely on our list when we return to Stowe.
The Bouchard farmhouse is even better than the photos suggest! The setting is beautiful, location convenient, and the house charming and spacious. The kitchen is well-stocked and opens to the family room, making it a wonderful entertaining space. The bedrooms are spread out, offering privacy and separation for different couples/families. Hot tub is well-maintained, firepit nice to have, and the peace of the surroundings is wonderful. Betsy is great with communication and answered all of our questions. Don't hesitate to rent this amazing house!
Wow, this is a fantastic property! Beautiful, spacious, super comfortable and extremely clean. Wish we could have stayed longer! Perfect landing spot for our 3 generation group in Vt for our daughter’s UVM graduation. Proximity to Stowe Recreation path a great bonus! Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay! It was a beautiful, historical property with plenty of room for our 9 - member party. We found it to be very clean & tidy inside & out. The view from the porch was amazing!! Our only concerns were the musty smell coming from the basement and the inability to latch the basement door. (Thankfully, the curious 2 1/2 year old in our party left it alone!) We would stay again if the opportunity presented itself and would highly recommend it to other vacationers!
This is a beautiful home with idyllic surroundings. The view from the porch and front lawn is gorgeous. There is a newer/addition that complements the historic-looking farmhouse section well. The upstairs bedroom and adjacent loft made for good “separate” space for those of us who needed to work or have some quiet time. The open loft space has a bed and a futon that were useful for spreading out sleepers. We were there during a fairly epic heatwave, but the Vermont air kept us cool enough at night with the use of the provided fans. The upstairs was warm during the day (no air conditioning) but the downstairs still stayed pleasant. Plenty to do in the busy tourist area but the home itself is tucked away from the traffic. Also, the home is one of the best stocked rentals we’ve used; the kitchen had all the utensils etc we needed for baking a birthday treat and cooking meals!
We had a wonderful week there. The house has all of the amenities needed for a great time. Very spacious with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The hostess was very communicative and friendly. We would go back to stay in the future. The hot tub was a wonderful addition as well.

Thanks Kevin - We will look forward to your return! So glad it worked for you.....
Classy, very thoughtful design of living spaces in the home made for a wonderful relaxing stay. Good light, good location, great ski gear room, little corners to hang out in.
The home was so warm and welcoming with the most picturesque view. My family and I loved everything about this house and the host was very friendly and responsive. We all talked about wanting to stay here every single time we visit Stowe in the future!
All of the above. The host was responsive and accommodating, the layout was perfect for our large adult family. Every amenity was well thought through and beautifully executed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our group of 7 adults. It was just as advertised with a well stocked and large kitchen, large and comfortable family room, nice bedrooms, well maintained hot tub, beautiful views and easy access to Stowe resort. Betsy was an exceptional host, providing everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. I highly recommend this house and Betsy as a host.
Absolutely gorgeous home. Very comfortable stay. Hot tub was great and very clean. House was well stocked with linen and essentials. Very quiet location but close to town. Perfect trip
This is a large house, full of light, just 5 minutes from the Trapp Family Lodge and 10 minutes or so from downtown Stowe. The details are in the listing, but it's got lots of space for sleeping and gathering, kitchen is generally well equipped. Nice front porch. It's a excellent choice for a large group.
This truly felt like you were staying with family. Beautiful home, thoughtfully decorated with every amenity you could need!

About the host
Hosted by Betsy Longstreth
My husband and I live in Philadelphia, PA. We have 3 children and 9 grandchildren. Our whole family loves the outdoors, so we gather here often and enjoy all that Stowe and this wonderful house provide.
Why they chose this property
My brother who lives in Stowe picked this house out for us. He called me telling me he had found 'my house.' We had not been considering buying a second home - however, he knew he had me with the rural, cozy charm of the farmhouse with its perfect location. He knew another good thing. Owning his own construction company, he was responsible for all of the recent renovations and additions..... so I know the work was done well.
What makes this property unique
The house is an iconic part of Stowe - as you drive along Luce Hill Road and look across the fields--the house, the surrounding farm and the mountains and ski slopes in the background form a classic Vermont scene. The charm of the old and new wide-planked floors, the fireplace, the light-filled windows that look out to incredible views, and the simple yet comfortable country style living creates wonderful times for families and friends to enjoy. With its central location, all can head out in different directions whether to the bike path, the mountains, the spa, or town--all just minutes away.
