I visited the Dominican Republic and stayed with my husband's family in this beautiful villa, the house is very spacious, the pool was a favorite and the lounge areas also. All in all we felt very safe and having the colmado so close was handy. We loved Tita, she always made sure my mother in-law had her greca for morning coffee. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home.

Could use improvement
Cameras inside should not be there; alarm panels (2) beep all day long including in Master Bedroom keeping occupants awake. No amenities like, soap, limited TP and not much in kitchen. Could be better cleaned.

Hi Javier thank you so much for your review! My cameras are set up for the perimeter of our home for safety reasons only. The only indoor camera we have is for the front door entryway. As for the alarms the battery just needed to be replaced. As I have stated I’m available 24/7 for my guests with whatever they need. If you reached out to me I would have loved to had that problem solved day 1, I’m so sorry for that! I don’t supply endless amounts of toilet paper, each bathroom gets one roll and then if more is needed you would have to buy more. I don’t run my home as a hotel so I don’t supply bath soap for my guests but there is a mini market within walking distance from my home that has everything you need. As for kitchen appliances I just have all the basics nothing fancy. My guests normally use Tita, our housekeeper/chef during their stays so they don’t have anything to worry about such as cleaning, cooking, she normally takes care of all of that for you. Tita does a deep clean before guests arrive and after guests leave. She’s amazing at her job and I hope you get the chance to use her for your next stay! Thank you again! You and your family were great guests

House needs a lot of work, but good location
The good: Location is good. House has a lot of potential. Spacious, many rooms etc. Owner responds promptly.
The bad: needs significant upgrades all over. Kitchen, bathrooms, doors and windows are having by a thread. You get dinged for anything that breaks during your stay, and something will given the condition. Beds had bugs. TVs don't really work etc... I question listing accuracy since many things didn't work.

Hi Ahmed, thank you for your review. I don’t take my home as needing significant upgrades. All of my photos online are accurate and if it wasn’t your style you were more than welcome to pick another home. Nothing is hanging on by a thread in my home especially with the kitchen being renovated 4 months ago. The only thing that broke during your stay was the towel rack that Im assuming you are upset about which resulted in a bad review. That was only a $40 charge. My housekeeper/groundskeeper does a thorough check throughout the whole house to ensure everything is running properly and that everything is completely cleaned. TVs work. They are ran on fire sticks. And for your comment about the bugs being in the bed, the housekeeper mentioned that you were sleeping in the beds with sand in them. You need to wash yourselves off fully before you are laying in clean beds. With sand from the beach comes bugs. Also, when you leave all of the doors and windows open you are letting the mosquitoes inside as well. The windows and doors that don’t have screens need to remain closed if the bugs bother you. It’s mosquito season in Dominican Republic right now. This 2 star review that you left is more on your personal decisions than it is me or my home. I’ve had nothing but 5 stars until your stay and I even have returning guests within this upcoming year. Everyone enjoys my home greatly. I just hope this review wasn’t based off of the damage charge. Thank you.
The house is in a great neighborhood. Tita, the housekeeper and cook, was fantastic! If I had a complaint, it would be the rooster was in a pen outside and would crow very, very early in the morning. The rooster definitely woke me up earlier than I wanted to,😂. Also, there was no cable in the house, only a firestick. I was not able to watch the basketball game. I had to go to a sports bar for that. Finally, please turn on the pool filter more as the wind blew debris into the pool constantly.
However, I would definitely stay again!
Our stay was short but we had a good time. I wish the listing would have specified that the parking was on the street only, not terrible but not the most convenient. There were lots of ants in the kitchen and dinning room. We didn’t have running water for a few hours due to the power outages, not something in the owners control. My only pet peeve was the lack of hot water. We were told there was hot water in the property but there wasn’t. We did not find trash bags or soap of any kind, bring your own. Now that the cons are out of the way, let’s move on to the pros. The owner and the attendant who live onsite were both very attentive and quick ro respond. The house is very spacious and absolutely stunning. The balconies off the upstairs master bedroom are heavenly, huge and offer great views and great breezes. The ocean is a short walking distance away. There are 2 grocery stores within a few mins driving distance from the property. The pool is beautiful and lit for use during the night.

Hi Angie,
Thank you so much for your stay and for your feedback. We’re really glad you enjoyed our beautiful home!
Just to clarify a few things to help future guests: Parking is located on our private property directly in front of the gate. We’re sorry if that wasn’t clear during your arrival.
Regarding cleanliness, we kindly ask all guests to help maintain the space as it was upon check-in. Our groundskeeper did notice a significant amount of trash—about 10 bags—left on the kitchen floor, which can attract ants in tropical environments. We do provide a designated garbage bin outside and note this during check-in.
While we provide initial essentials such as four soaps to get you started, guests are responsible for any additional toiletries needed throughout the stay. There’s a mini mart just a 3-minute drive away for convenience.
As for the hot water, we were in the process of resolving an issue during your visit, and it has since been fully repaired—thank you for your patience and understanding.
We appreciate your feedback and hope to host you again in the future under better circumstances. Wishing you all the best!
Warm regards,

This trip was what our family needed. The host was amazing with response, and very accommodating especially for us with all the travel issues we had to get to the Dominican. She was more than understanding and allowed us to stay an extra day, because our flight brought us in a day later than expected. As for the housekeeper/chef- Tita- she is FANTASTIC. I only hope that every place people stay has a Tita somewhere along the way for them. Do yourself a favor- and pay extra for her services. She’s a wonderful chef, a joyful person, and an all around tremendous help. I would stay here again. Only thing I would recommend- (not even a host issue just for guests) make sure you keep the doors closed at night and if you have sensitive skin, change the linens daily. Your feet bring in all kinds of things so to ward off bug bites, just change the linens. Thank you so much for such great memories here.
We loved the house and the location, 3 minute walk to a 9 hole golf course and 7 minute walk to lovely beach and restaurants. Kitchen needs a few things ; only had 3 X large pots, no small or medium, no kettle and coffee pot was an expresso style one; no roasting pans or pizza or bar pan; only 1 small pot holder; no measuring cup or measuring spoons or any food storage containers and no dish soap; knife drawer needs to be cleaned out and replaced (rusted knives & can opener). TV did not work. no cable. The bedrooms were beautiful however the closets were locked so there was no place to hang any clothes. The one closet that was open had no clothes hangers. Would recommend home being supplied with a full 5 gallon of drinking water upon arrival. All simple fixes for sure. Swimming pool needed a good cleaning around the edges to remove what looked like algae. We always book with VRBO so that we can prepare a good portion of our meals, and love the privacy of our own space. So this property has great potential and with these minor fixes would be a 5 star, so we rated it 5 star, and wish the owner success in hosting future guests. Deb & Wade

Thank you so much Debbie & Wade for being our first guests! I asked for honest observations and suggestions so I can improve for the next upcoming guests and you did just that for me and more. I appreciate it greatly. I will be sure to have everything I could possibly need for the next guests and make those fixes. As for the TV’s, they will be hooked up to fire sticks before the next stay. I hope to accommodate the both of you again! Thank you!

This is a beautiful house with a very large master suite upstairs. The three bedrooms downstairs were decent sized, two of which used the hall bathroom, the other had a private bathroom. Soap was not available when we arrived but there is a small store right inside the entrance of the gated community that had just about every basic need available. The maid was very nice and helpful though only speaks Spanish. We did struggle with getting the upstairs balcony light to stay on and while the maid was going to show us how to use it, we had someone sleeping and didn't get around to it again! We did use the grill but there were not any grill tools available to use! The house was nice but as with most rental properties could use some maintenance touches (a few I can remember include the microwave handle was about to fall off, a handrail not attached to the wall in shower and the shower shelf about to fall off, so nothing major except maybe the microwave!). The house felt very safe and inviting. The community is great. A 10 minute walk to the beach that has lots of little shells, shallow water with various reefs. There are also several little restaurants and a gift shop along the beach as well. The family visited 27 Waterfalls, about a 45 minute drive. It had rained a lot prior to our visit so only had 7 available and once we got there, realized they only take cash. We do not know if cash was due to the rains and an outage but it appeared to be the normal case.

Hey everyone! My name is Jenna and I grew up in NJ(where I currently reside) with visiting DR every summer. I absolutely love my DR home. Ive owned this house for several years and it’s always been my getaway home that I’m happy to share with you all! My favorite part of this home is how everything is so close by and it’s quite so I can really engage in relaxation mode especially with our housekeeper(Tita) around. I never have to worry about a thing. If you really want an excellent place to eat try Restaurant Le Papillon. The food is to DIE FOR!! It’s my favorite restaurant close by to dine in at.
