Charming, comfortable Inn/Guest House in Cresson, PA

Nestled in Cresson PA, in a very quiet neighborhood so relaxation is great! You will enjoy the 2nd floor of the host's home. A code will be provided for your secure entry.
We are located in the West-Central Allegheny Mountains and 'train buffs' love it here.

Private entrance with all the amenities of your home while you are on vacation. There is off street lighted parking.

You may cook in the fully equipped kitchen with a table and chairs or enjoy local restaurants. Minutes from town with restaurant, pizza and grocery store.

Living room also includes a desk for your convenience. Wi-Fi is provided and the TV has a firestick. Air conditioning is provided.

There are 2 private bedrooms; one bedroom offers a queen size bed comfortably sleeps 2 people and has a private bathroom.

The 2nd bedroom has a double bed and private bathroom.

When you book you are booking for 2 people. If more than 2 people be sure to put the number of people. No more than 4 people.

You are invited to enjoy our back patio with a picnic table or just enjoy the outdoors and star gazing at night.

We are 3 miles from St Francis University, minutes from Mount Aloysius College and 25 minutes from Penn State Altoona.

We are within minutes of Cresson Lake Playhouse, Lemon House and several churches of different denominations. Rock Run Recreation ATV Park, Prince Gallitzin State Park and Blue Knob Ski Resort are about a 30-minute drive. Delgrosso's Amusement Park is within a 45-minute drive. If you like riding your bike, we are near The Ghost Town Trail. Train enthusiasts can visit the observation deck in Cresson, Allegheny Portage Railroad Historic Site, nearby Horseshoe Curve, Carney's Crossing and The Altoona Railroaders Museum. Johnstown offers many sites and memorabilia from the floods of 1936 and 1977. The Johnstown Incline Plane is known for being the "world's steepest vehicular incline plane".

Altoona is a 15-minute drive, Johnstown 30 minutes, 45 minutes from State College and approximately 1 hour from Pittsburgh.

All the comforts of home!

My son and I stayed here (at Mary’s) while we toured an area college. This place was easy to find and had all the comforts of home. It was also very clean and maintained. It was really nice to unwind in the living room after a busy day; there’s more space here than any hotel room could offer. We slept well and enjoyed our stay. Recommended!

This is a super cute older home with all the warmth and charm you would want. Nothing was lacking for our stay. Mary checked in with us about half way through our visit and was ready to get any thing we needed. And boy oh boy the wonderful smells from her kitchen made you feel like you were at grandma’s house!!

Why they chose this property

We are nestled between Pittsburgh (about 1 hour)and State College (about 45 minutes) in the Laurel Highlands. This is a great place for 'train buffs'. Blue Knob is very close for winter skiing. In the summer, enjoy Prince Gallitzin State Park. We pride ourselves on "cleanliness and friendliness" We are off the main road and it is very peaceful and quiet.
I am 3 minutes from Mount Aloysius College, 10 minutes from Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA and 20 minutes from Penn State Altoona. Come visit your son or daughter or just come to relax and enjoy our quiet, peaceful surroundings.
