Every imaginable item, kitchen and bath, was available. Road is not busy. Super quiet. Views go for miles. Plenty of room for finding a private corner.

This cabin beyond amazing! My dad wanted all of us together in Ely he always see this cabin. We made his dream happen plus the cabin was beyond amazing. Definitely coming back
We spent three nights at the property and very much enjoyed our time there. It is a beautiful home located in a beautiful area. If you are interested in outdoor activities it is an ideal place as it offers easy and quick access to the mountains with almost endless roads for off-roading, hiking, or cycling. We highly recommend it.

Thank you, Darin. We are delighted you chose Duck Creek.
Great location and an absolutely.beautiful lodge. The lodge decor has many animal head mounts from family hunts over the years. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and the appliances are top of the line. It was easy to communicate with the host and she prompt with responses.

Thank you for choosing Duck Creek for your stay, Cheryl. We enjoyed having you. And we hope you had a wonderful birthday vacation.
We loved the house. The wildlife was spectacular. We liked the isolation in the beautiful valley. We had 3 birds fly into the east facing window. 2 died. Can you put something on the glass to help the birds see the glass

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay. And we look forward to hosting you again when you visit the Ely area.
The house was large and had all amenities we needed (the Keurig was a morning hit). Large kitchen for our family to cook and eat together. Plus the firepit for S'mores and games of Ghost in the Darkness were fabulous. Movie nights in the theater room and pool games in the rec room. Plenty of room for everyone!

Great place in a nice peaceful valley not to far from the main road
Great property to stay and I bet it’s even more beautiful in the summer with the tree blooming. Nice kitchen for cooking and hang out time. It was a big of a drive to ice fishing but we got all 12 guys in a really nice place so it was worth it.

Thank you, Corey. We are so delighted that you all enjoyed your stay. You're right. It is absolutely incredible in the summer and fall with all the trees. Hope you get a chance to check it out soon. Thank you again.
almost too large for 2 people. overall a nice place to stay. clean inside and out. a few quirks in the house but nothing not able to overcome. nice visit.
This property is even more beautiful than it appears in photos. The kitchen is incredibly well supplied for preparing meals. The cleanliness and condition of the property was flawless which is no small feat considering the size and amenities. The contact person was very helpful and available for a minor maintenance issue. The remoteness of the property added to its charm. No hesitation recommending this for large groups, we only had four of us but this could accommodate many more.

Thank you for the kind review. We enjoyed having you. Hope to see you again the next time you are in the White Pine County area.
The property was everything we could ask for. Quite and away from the noise and distractions of life. Beautiful from the landscape to the design of the cabin, and provided everything we would seek in a rental. We took a group of 4 adults and 13 teenagers and it was more then enough. Highly recommend,

Isolated GemThis alpine/ranch house is more than a pleasant weekend stay location. We had a very enjoyable extended stay at the Duck Creek lodge. The house is as lovely as the pictures spread out over 4 levels with multiple decks generating a 360 degree view. The house is large enough that our three generation family had plenty of room to escape or be all together. The combination of in-house activities and views are so enticing that at first we did not want to leave the property. The house is located in the Duck Creek valley at 6700 ft. surrounded by mountains that peak at 11,800 feet. Although the valley has several ranches none of the houses/buildings are visible. Good hiking is a short drive up the valley. The Ely area offers good hiking, rock climbing, golf and historical and nature touring. Nearby McGill offers an excellent fresh water public swimming hole and a small grocery store. The internet and WIFI allowed remote work all over the house and decks even with multiple video calls going at the same time. Amazon deliveries were made to the McGill post office. Ely has a good full service grocery store. The hosts were very responsive to our needs even building a custom child gate at the stairs. They also gave useful recommendations to source local baked goods, steaks and activities. Particularly noteworthy were the large and very fully equipped kitchen and the exceptional media room. A drawback of the location is that it is a 30 minute drive to Ely.

Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure to meet you. And we are so delighted you and your family enjoyed your stay. Hope to see you again. Safe travels.
We could not have been happier with our stay! Our hosts, Anne and Matt, went above and beyond decorating the lodge for our arrival, complete with a beautiful Christmas tree and homemade cookies to greet us. We made several gourmet meals in the gorgeous kitchen and had everything that we needed (and more). The appliances and cookware were all top of the line. I even made it a game to try to find something in the kitchen that they had not thought of, and I could not. When my husband cut his hand, I wasn’t the least bit surprised to find a full first aid kit. The lodge was incredibly spacious and expertly designed. Bedding and linens were plentiful and top of the line. The views were absolutely breathtaking, creating the perfect backdrop for our holiday celebrations. Snow falling on Christmas Eve added a magical touch. Given how much work Anne and Matt put into this place, I wouldn’t be surprised if they had arranged the snow just for us!There was a small glitch with one of the appliances during our stay, but the owners were exceptionally responsive and went above and beyond to ensure the issue was resolved quickly and completely. Their attentiveness and care only added to our positive experience. Anne also graciously fielded all of my questions before we arrived.Overall, we could not have been happier with our stay. This lodge provided the ideal setting for a joyful and unforgettable Christmas. We highly recommend the Duck Creek Lodge and can't wait to come back!

We are so thrilled you found everything you needed. We are also delighed you enjoyed your family holiday at Ely Duck Creek Lodge. Thank you for choosing us. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
This particular trip was not exactly a vacation. Members of my family gathered to fulfill my father’s wish to have his ashes spread near his birthplace of Baker, NV. I wanted to find someplace that would allow the entire family to gather and spend quality time together, rather than being partitioned off in hotel rooms, and this wonderful home fit the bill beautifully.
The property is spacious, beautifully decorated, and has more than enough space for everyone to spread out and relax. The large kitchen allowed multiple generations to gather and prepare dinner together, which was much better than dining in a local restaurant. There are ample plates, dishes, and cooking tools.
Local wildlife is plentiful, and using the spotting scope (a well thought out amenity) we were able to see deer and elk grazing nearby. We did find a small rattlesnake in the back yard, which was safely relocated over the back fence.
Beds were comfortable, and everyone reported that they slept well.
The basement game room wasn’t heavily utilized, but is a great space to relax. The arcade machine is loaded with hundreds of classic retro arcade games, and the theater has a sound system that will rock your socks off!
All in all, while our visit wasn’t for the happiest of reasons, we could not have asked for a better place to stay. We are already working on planning another, longer visit to spend some more quality time in this beautiful part of Nevada.

We are so sorry for your loss. It is not an easy thing to go through and we are honored that you chose Duck Creek for your family weekend.
This is the perfect spot for a home base to explore the Great Basin National Park area. The property is peaceful and beautiful. The house has all the amenities needed. The kitchen has high end appliances and was a delight to use.

About the host
Hosted by Anne Disher
All we could think about when this property was undergoing its dramatic restoration in 2020 was how we hoped family and friends would find all kinds of ways to enjoy the property. We created a giant kitchen and dining room for family meals together. There are two living rooms, a game room and six-person plus theater. The fire pit seats 15 and the grounds are ideal for large gatherings.
The 12-acre property offers unobstructed views of the Duck Creek Basin - considered by many to be one of Nevada's most beautiful spots.
Why they chose this property
Located in Nevada's coveted Section 111, Duck Creek Basin is one of the Silver State's top spots to watch both the deer and elk along with eagles, hawks, owls and other creatures who make their homes in the Great Basin. It's close proximity to Ely and McGill in Eastern Nevada make it an ideal location for a family vacation or a romantic getaway.
The night sky is one of the basin's top features.
What makes this property unique
Ely Duck Creek Lodge is as user-friendly as it is beautiful. The property is intended to help create long-lasting memories for all of our guests.
