Ranch Life! Country Casita.

The Casita is a 660 sq. ft. cottage, located on a working horse ranch. Let us know if you would like to have a horse experience! Private, separate unit. We offer grooming horses with an informational session.
Whether you simply need a safe place to stay to use as a home base, while you travel to Yosemite, San Francisco, Sacramento, or Lodi. Or you really always wanted to see what country life is all about, we are here for you.
Summertime we provide a BBQ with charcoal, an outdoor fire pit with kindling and wood, perfect for roasting marshmallows and making smores, and a Shiny metal stock tank to soak in pure well water, to cool off in the Casita yard.
With a full sized kitchen, you will be able to cook what you like, when you like to.

Great stay!

Dan and Maria were friendly and readily available if we needed something. The place is attached to their home but you have all the privacy as if staying in an in-laws home. The location was just right for us.

Great little getaway

While I didn't have a chance to enjoy the ranch life amenities due to my schedule, Dan and Maria were great. Conveniently close to Sacramento without being in the city itself.

Loved every second I stayed there. It was raining and the host brought me an umbrella and helped me unload my van. Everything was in great working order, and had a great country property appeal.

Little Horse Ranch Gem

Wonderful stay in an extremely clean cottage. Surrounded by sweet horses ond dogs. Our hosts were very welcoming with fresh fruit in the fridge and all that was needed for our stay, all very well organized. We were welcomed when we drove in with our large cargo trailer and was easy to pRk and drop the trailer to go explore. Thank you for a wonderful stay!.

Home away from home!

Farm setting

The casita is located on a farm. Every convenience is provided in a quiet atmosphere. The property is close to everything Lodi has to offer, which is a lot. Maria kept us updated as our stay approached. She has deep roots in the area and provided a wealth of information. As many who stayed before me commented I hope to return.

Quite, Cozy, Clean Get-A-Way

We received A+ welcome and acceptance of our Aussie to this lovely, well-kept country cottage. The horse ranch setting was ideal for a relaxing atmosphere. The two bedroom house is clean, adequately equipped with kitchen dishes and cookware. We lacked for nothing to prepare our dinner and breakfast. Our host was extremely welcoming, friendly and so kind….the best!

Great Experience

We live on a small farm on wine trails about an hour away. It was just perfect to find a cute horse ranch to stay on while visiting Lodi's wine trails. The hosts were great, it was very clean and comfortable. You're still close enough to town that it's easy to eat, go wine tasting, or shop. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

We are sixth generation horse ranchers, in this county. So we are familiar with all the fun things you can do here! Please ask if you have any questions.
We always have enjoyed how folks come here to stay, become friends, and friends become family.

Why they chose this property

This area is in the Central Valley of California. We are a couple hours from San Francisco or Lake Tahoe. Locally there is Lockeford Restaurants and Lodi Downtown Brew Pubs and Restaurants. We are in the heart of Lodi Wine Country, surrounded by wine tasting and entertainment venues. Water activities at Lodi Lake, Lake Camanche, Hogan Lake, and many other spots. This is an agricultural property, with cities and towns nearby.

What makes this property unique

The ability to park your car outside the door and feel safe, and the convenience of instacart and door dash deliveries from Lodi. The ability to bring your stuff in to the Casita, and not have to go up several flights of stairs or a long elevator ride or a long walk down a dark hallway , are all good things. If you would like to take part in whatever horse activities we are doing that day you are welcome. Or if you would rather just sit in the yard and enjoy the sunset, you can do whatever you like, just ask if you need anything or have any questions. We are here to help.
