With beach-inspired decor and beautiful hardwood floors throughout, Cajun Shrimp is a family-friendly three-bedroom, two-bathroom condo conveniently located poolside and just a short stroll to the beach. Open the doors to your living room where you will find new and comfortable furniture, a flat-screen HDTV, cable and Wi-Fi. A plush queen-size sleeper sofa is available for additional guests. The primary bedroom has a king-size bed, flat-screen TV and private bathroom with a stand-up shower and Jacuzzi style bathtub. The additional two bedrooms are located on the first floor. One guest bedroom has a king-size bed, flat-screen TV and private patio entry. The bunk room offers a full-size bed, two sets of twin-size bunk beds and a flat-screen TV. The full bathroom is located near both bedrooms.

Terrible

The house was disgusting. We had to clean and wash sheets ourselves. There was nothing in the kitchen that I would even attempt to cook with. I will never stay at the Cajun Shrimp again or book through Silversands. The owner needs to take better care. I do not recommend to anyone.

kids beds were not washed, had sand in them and food. No mat at front inside entrance to collect sand. Not one cutting knife in kitchen supplied. only two dishwashing packs for 4 nights. one pack of paper towels and 1 hand towel in the kitchen. Not impressed by the firm maintaining the property no the owner.

Decent Condo, a few upgrades would make it much better!

Best part about this condo-- the pool! Perfect for our group and the kids. There were several things that would make it a better experience. -No hooks in bathrooms, and only 9 towels left for 10 people. Also only one washcloth and hand towel. No kitchen towels. No bath mat. -No extra TP, paper towels, etc. This is communicated in the emails, but on top of all the beach toys and things to pack with kids, I think this should be provided at the rate you pay. -No cleaning supplies left to clean counters or any mess made. -Tables and chairs wobble.

Excellent Stay

Cajun Shrimp was a great experience for myself, my fellow teacher and my students. We were in the area for competition and the students were able to enjoy the walk to the beach and the heated pool.

The only complaint I really have there wasn't extra trashbags ,dish soap , towels toilet paper. Could you lower the volume on the TV or raise the volume. Other than that Good size condo to sleep 10 ppl and location was great.

Lacks some necessities

Nice set up and great location! But sparsely furnished—there is ZERO place to unpack. The house needs some shelves or dressers added to the bedrooms. There isn't even room to place your suitcases within the bedrooms. No broom or dustpan to clean up sand or messes under the table. No kitchen towels or wash cloths. Could use more rugs at the entry points to ward off some of the same from the house. No way to wipe your feet when coming in.

At Least the Pool Was Great

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at many places in Port A and this is the only location that I will not return to. The washer and dryer are horrible, the dryer especially it took literally all day or night to dry one load. I felt like all we did the whole time was do laundry. The downstairs bathroom has gross mats and the shower curtain also broke on us and had to be fixed. If you do stay here I would bring your own bath mats, towels and bedding. The downstairs bedroom is now known as the dungeon because of how dark it is. Its small things too, like total lack of places to hang towels to dry, no place to put our luggage or hang clothes. Everything had to be put on the dirty floor. While a minor issue, please get a smart TV and move away from cable. These are easy fixes that I hope can be made, it would have totally changed our thoughts on the experience.

Nice place but pool area a problem

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was great, roomy, clean, comfy. The door code pad was tricky at times. The problem was the pool area. People were there without wrist bands, kids jumping off rocks and doing flips making it unsafe for kids in the water, climbing up the slide instead of down. Also, I called to report this after hours and the guy who answered was very nice and said he would come check things out but I never saw anyone come out.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very clean property, comfy beds and best (but busy) pool in the Port. Great for the kids. We would stay here again without question. Although the beach is a 10 min walk. The 4 person cart will make your stay a lot more fun. A few minor details to be aware of if planning a stay here: there is very little space for hanging clothes or towels from the beach, There are no basic spices or other consumable cooking supplies, there is no broom to help with the sand that gets tracked in and there were no extra garbage bags. Also recommend bringing a plastic/metal drink container for the pool area. Minor issues that didn’t detract from a great stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Family enjoyed vacation staying at the Cajun Shrimp condo. Condo was clean and close to the pool. The only downside was the pool. Too many people to that size pool. There were teens coming to pool who were not staying there. I'm talking cart loads. Every time we left our parking spots someone else would be parked there. It was getting frustrating going to the pool to get whoever was parked there to move. There is no one on duty on property to enforce the rules. Example: A bunch of kids were jumping off the rocks into the pool doing cannon ball. Me and other adults kept telling them to quit jumping from rocks that someone was going to get hurt and that the sign says stay off of rocks. It doesn't do any good when the parent lets them do it. There are little ones and elderly in the pool and it's just a matter of time someone coming out from under the rocks gets jump on by kids jumping off of the top. There is just not enough guest parking either.

First Vacay in 15 years!!

We have been to South Padre Island, Texas, many many times over the years and for a change, thought we'd give Port Aransas a try. My first telephones calls to Silver Sands Rentals they were so very friendly and helpful!! However, the weekend before we were to leave, I called about the possibility of an "early check-in" on the saturday of our arrival. The lady said if the home wasn't rented that shouldn't be a problem, I'm talking about maybe 2 hrs. Check-in was at 4:00 pm and I thought we might arrive around 1:00 (with my 85 year old mother in law, 4 children, my husband and the dog). They seemed annoyed at my phone call, gave a bunch of reasons why they couldn't do it. I gave them enough notice (called around 10:00/11:00 am), they didn't know if the property would be ready and that was that. We arrived abt 3:00 pm and they let us go ahead and check-in but were rude, barely spoke to us. 2 women were there, one didn't even turn around and the other, just rude. One thing that struck me, they didn't tell us anything about anything. How to get to the beach, how to get to the property, was there a grocery store anywhere around or that we would need a permit to drive on the beach with our car or get a $500.00 ticket (that's what people do there. The go-cart supplied was for 4 people and it was a blast but for us all to get to the beach, you drive your car). Help the guests and give them information about how things work around town. If they don't need it, they'll tell you but Port Aransas is a delightful place. Also, in the master bedroom the bed was like I was sleeping in a hole. We looked at it and it wasn't broken just appeared very used as was the couch, when you sat on it, it just sank in the middle. The furniture looked very nice, from what I'm told, it's very new but some things in the property already feel old. Overall, they house was clean, the location to the beach was good and we had a great time!!

Another Memorable Memorial Weekend

The townhome was beautiful, comfy & cozy and the pool was the highlight of the trip. This isn't your ordinary pool. The slide, landscaping and endless chairs, tables and space made it perfect. We will definitely stay here moving forward.
