Relaxing Lake Cottage with easy water access!

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay directly on the water. This home was built for the fisherman to bring his family! This home is up river at mile marker 26 and has little boat traffic. Leave your boat on the dock or pull it into back out on the private boat ramp.

Enjoy the flat back yard for room for all the lake games and toys or the amazing view of the back yard and water from the private back deck or relax in the Hot Tub on the patio after the sun goes down.
The space
Our home is newer constructed and has beautiful tongue and groove wood ceilings and hardwood flooring throughout. The bathrooms have tile flooring and tile tub surrounds. The main bedroom has a large bathroom with walk in shower and view of the water. The 2nd bedroom also has a view of the water and a comfy queen bed. The 3rd bedroom has 2 full size beds and the same beautiful hardwood floors. The main living area has an extra large sectional that will fit the whole family! There is a table with seating for 8 (tables extends) and 2 seats at the bar. A fully stocked kitchen will accommodate all the cooking for the length of your stay! The smooth granite counter tops, dishwasher, icemaker, pot filler, microwave, and oven will make the cook happy! There is an unfinished basement space with studs and concrete flooring. We have put a ping pong table here for the kids to have a little fun and a place inside that they can get a little wild if they need to. We have teenage boys so they enjoy this space after dark and on rainy days!

Our home is in a rural area! Access is 100 yard down a dirt road before you hit the concrete driveway to lead you to the front parking or side parking and boat ramp. There is wildlife (mostly deer and armadillo) in the front yard eating my landscaping but they have all been friendly but please be sure to drive slowly as they don't see too many cars and will stand in the road!

We do have internet and we occasionally work from there. It may lag some but we have spent many days watching college football and many nights cuddled by the fireplace watching a movie. We have YouTubeTV logged in, but feel free to enter your netflix or prime account. Just remember to log out!!

The back deck has outdoor dining for six but seating for relaxing for at least nine. The lower patio has seating for six comfortably and a hot tub that seats six. The top is easy to open and close but be sure if you have little one to lock the lid shut for safety. For anyone with mobility issues, you can get to the water with NO stairs (other than the 2 at the front porch)! We poured the front walk to circle up around the drive and to the water with no stairs. We plan on enjoying it here even after our knees give out!

The dock is great for laying out or jumping off and especially for fishing. There is a light at the boat ramp that we are hoping attracts the big catfish! Fishing is allowed but an Alabama fishing license is required for anyone over the age of 16 in Alabama.

You are up the river on mile marker 26 about 5 miles from the 431 Marina. This is a beautiful short trip to the big water by boat.

We hope you enjoy our lake house as much as we do! We have been on Lake Wedowee for almost 10 years, but both me and my husband grew up enjoying all this beautiful lake has to offer.

You will have access to all the main level (minus owners closet) and the unfinished area of the basement. The garage area is locked and you will not have access to inside this area.
Other things to note
- Short drive (100 yards) on a dirt road, but any vehicle can drive on it.
- Internet is available but may lag some.
- Please note that the dam will be opened October 1- April 1 and water levels are lowered. Private Boat ramp will not be accessible on these dates as the water recedes back from the shoreline. There is a public boat ramp on deeper water about 10 minutes from the house.
