The house was very comfortable and well stocked. Very convenient to have access to garage and many beach items were available for use. Loved the canal access for kayaking regardless of tide levels. Screened in porch enlarged living space and afforded nice views of wildlife. We would definitely stay again. The pictures on VRBO did not show the updates to house that were recently done.
Everything was great about this place! Plenty of household items like kitchen supplies and towels. The house is really nice and very clean. The yard is so tranquil and well kept. We even caught a flounder we had for dinner. The only negative I could find is the hall shower could use a pressure increasing shower head and the master bed needs some repair. These issues weren’t enough to stop us from giving this place 5 stars though. I’d book again if I was in st aug
This is an excellent location for beach and city. The layout of the house is great, the yard is spacious, and it right on a canal, with a dock.
We were, however, very disappointed in the cooking facilities. The toaster was slow and toaster oven almost nonfunctional. The glasses were mismatched, and the skillet terrible. Even the bacon stuck to it.
Overall maintenance is needed throughout the house.
This could easily be a wonderful rental with just a little upkeep and upgrading of the kitchen appliances and glassware.

We are glad you enjoyed the home and its wonderful location. We also appreciate the update on the appliances as well as the cookware. These issues have been brought to the attention of the owner and will be corrected. We want all our guests to have an exceptional experience, we appreciate that you help us accomplish that! We hope to host you again!
My husband and I stayed here when visiting some family near Jacksonville and wanted to be able to enjoy a place closer to the beach. This house was perfect (albeit a bit large for just the two of us!) Communication with the host was via a direct text message, and they informed us when the house was ready - it was clean and wonderfully cool when we arrived! The table out back on the canal was great for afternoon relaxing and the Florida room was perfect for after dinner. The screened in area had full length sliding windows you can open to get some fresh air, although it was a little cool for us at night to do that (still a great option though!) The main bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a large shower and great water pressure.
The only 'con' is that the general supplies are a little lacking. We love to cook on vacation but I definitely was missing decent pans/knives. However, there are plenty of local restaurants in the area to make this totally fine. :) They do have a small beach umbrella and a chair or two, although I recommend finding a place to rent/buy some items that are a little less... worn.
There are several coolers however! And we used them daily when we went to the beach. The beach access is about 1/2 mile walk, and they were building the crosswalk while we were there, which will be an amazing addition as there is a bit of traffic on the road you have to cross. However, once you get to the beach, it's worth it!
A great place!
