Clean & Well Decorated

Interior of unit is well appointed and has all premium appliances and furnishings. We are a family of 5 and were very well set up with the 3 bedrooms, kitchen and eating/living area. Ski in was good as a trail went right across the road. Ski out was good, small walk to hill to the Happy Valley gondola. Village access is through the gondola. We walked one night and not very accessible. Driving to the village is easy and can be done for dinners. Parking in garage is small for a large SUV and there is construction going on in this area which affects the road in and the ability to get vehicles in and out of the garage. New development being built right in front of the unit which impacts view partially. Great amenities including ski locker, boot dryer and hot tub. Lots of snow and Big White is a great family ski resort and close to Kelowna.

Great week in Big White

Our stay at this Happy Valley condo was great. We received detailed check in instructions prior to arriving. We gave it 4/5 for check in only because the garage and the visitor parking it is a bit confusing (need to find the garage for our unit and it isn’t the first one in line with the unit). But it was a quick issue to figure out and the property manager replied immediately. The condo was clean and spacious and the hot tub was large and warm. The view was OK because of the line of condos between the condo and the mountains, but you could still see them through the openings. Ski in/out in Big White during spring is very tough from almost anywhere on the hill since the roads are melted and the paths between buildings become icy and melted. But this location was a 3 min walk up the road and super easy to get on the hill and to the Happy Valley lodge and gondola. A couple things making it not a 5/5 are - squeaky doors and bunk beds as well as no separate hot tub towels (but just enough towels for everyone). Both have been mentioned to the property manager and they are looking into them. With these minor items addressed (since it’s a new property) it will be 5/5 in no time!
