Nice stay but needs some work

We stayed here about 5 years ago and the upkeep on the building is not what it used to be. We never saw anyone clean around the pool (sat-fri). The walk to the beach is long when you have to continue walking because of emerald grande’s chairs. The other guests were loud at the pool til midnight which is right outside your window. It just seems like because it’s managed by different companies no one is really paying attention to poolside villas as a whole.

Great location! But....

This propert is in a great location with accessible to its own private beach area. However you share the beach with a major hotel. They ship and drop off all there guest right in front of the area that is by the condo so if you want to have a spot not far away from the condo you need to get there early otherwise your walking down the beach where there is more boats to do snorkeling and swimming. Make sure to bring your own chairs and umbrella there is no shade! The building is older and there are quirky things with it. Also housekeeping needs to do a better job of making sure everything is dusted for allergies. There was alot of dust on the fans, doors and corners of things. Also the building needs to do a better job of spraying for palmetto bugs we had a couple visit us in the evening 2 nights in a row. The location is right by a target and there is a short drive down the road for walmart. They are both busy so i would try maybe to go in off hours. It was a great visit all in all! There was alot of families at this location so if you have kids this is a great spot!

Not as advertised

The condo had sand everywhere when we got there. The master shower was stopped up and the shower curtain was covered in mold and soap scum. There was only 5 dinner plates and forks not good for a condo sleeping 6 people. The bunk beds make so much noise when even a 5 yr old moves slightly also it smells like it recently was painted with oil base paint! You would think when paying as much as we did for this condo that it would have coffee filters and a working coffee pot. It was ridiculous the condition of the condo. Sheets did not fit the master bed. They fell off as soon as you layed down and the floors were coming up in several places. My husband fell several times from tripping on flooring that was sticking up. The couch has filthy and falling apart. The short walk to the beach was more that a short walk. Other than that the a/c worked very well and the pool was nice.

Great Location

The location was great and close to everything. We were able to see fireworks on Thursdays on our beach from the Destin Harbor. Beds were really comfortable and plenty of room.
