My kids and grandkids enjoyed this big house over the Christmas week. It was well equipped and offered easy living. We will be back.

Hi Eliss, we appreciate you choosing to stay with us! We're pleased that everything met your standards. We are sincerely grateful and we are looking forward to having you as our guests again soon!
We appreciated so much that this home was so homey and the amenities made a huge difference (there were dish towels!!! Nice amount of cookware and cutlery! Comfy beds and bathroom with huge bathtub! A great fooseball table!)The only requests we would ask would be to please sharpen the knives in kitchen as they are dead and please put railings back on upper bunks for safety!Thank you for a lovely holiday!
Me and my friends had a great time at the property and had plenty of space to enjoy ourselves. The only gripe with the property was the carpeted bathrooms (were musty after everyone showered) and the ants that we kept finding. Other than that this place is amazing and we had a great time

We understand how these issues can affect your stay, and we'll take immediate steps to address them. We'll work on improving the bathroom conditions and take measures to resolve the ant problem. Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. We're pleased to hear that you still had an amazing time, and we hope to welcome you back for an even better experience in the future.
We were a group of 10 friends and we fit perfectly! The hangout space downstairs was fantastic for late night chats and so cozy with the fireplace. It was perfectly located to go into Tahoe city for dinner and nightlife (only 7 minutes) and took us 15-20 minutes to get to Palisades. There’s a great room by the garage to leave ski gear! Couldn’t be happier with the rental!
The communication was excellent from start to finish. House is roomy so was perfect for our group of 10. Great convenient location, friendly and quiet neighborhood. Will definitely bring reaching out to stay again for our yearly trip to Tahoe City for the River float and lake day. House is on the older side inside- but I loved it, reminded me of my grandparents home. Clean and functional which is what's important!

Hello Sara, thank you so much for choosing to stay with us! We’re glad everything was to your liking. We truly appreciate it! We hope to host you again in the future!
It was a very nice house and very spacious. I would say that your stove does not work meaning it does not heat up only one the bottom right. Also it would be nice to have some lights on the stairs walking up to the entrance because I fell. Overall very nice!

Neglected and out dated.
We arrived to a cold, unkept house. Trash still in the trash cans dishwasher loaded and dirty. Bathroom vanity is falling off the wall. Damaged drywall, heat at 50 or not working properly. After talking to customer service our fireplace downstairs started working on night 3 of 3.

Wifi not working
Among all the issues, wifi not working was the most frustrating one. The instructions from the email didn't work, we called and the operator didn't know how to fix, finally the operator agreed to send someone to fix, but we never heard back.

Do not stay here. Unclean house with rodents. Bad property management company.
Local VR was terrible & are not a local management company (located in another state) with horrible customer service. The house had serious problems: Wi-Fi didn’t work; the refrigerator was dirty & full of old food so we had to clean it; the refrigerator got so cold (adjusting it did not help) that it froze & ruined our sliced turkey and many other items that required a regular temperature; kitchen cabinets, shelves & drawers were dirty; stove burners did not get hot enough to boil a pot of water; bathroom sink was clogged; carpet had dark, permanent stains all over; old food was stuck in the bedroom headboard; trash baskets were full; dead flies & insects were in windowsills & light fixtures. Mice or rats came into the kitchen pantry & on counters and ate our food & got into our food packages and bags, leaving things torn up & leaving rodent droppings all over the kitchen. All of our food was contaminated and ruined. We were a big family with children so hundreds of dollars of food were ruined. This house was unsanitary and dirty. Local VR was unresponsive and only an operator answered the phone. They did not care about the condition of the home or its problems. We love this area in Tahoe and have always rented clean homes before we rented this one. We will never rent from Local VR again. And will never rent this house again.
Nice house. Some of the tile grout breaking down here and there. Maybe a bit dated and has an electric stove top. But everything clean and everything worked. Not a bad drive to Squaw/Alpine. Overall, worked out great for us!
Plenty of space and amenities to host a full house of working professionals who also wanted to ski our faces off. The bedrooms were very comfortable, as were the living spaces. The mudroom attached to the garage was a nice touch that allowed us to keep our snow gear warm but not track dirt into the main house. Access to the property was fine, though we got lucky with the weather so there wasn't an issue with snow/ice. Our only complaint is that we often found the dishes to be dirty despite there being a really effective dishwasher.
This property is very nice for a family gathering, lots of room to spread out and in a very nice location. The property is showing some signs of age, carpet is worn and furnishings are older, but overall this didn't really detract from the overall experience. We didn't try to use the beach area as driving and parking were too busy over the July 4th weekend. But the forest hiking right up the street was very good, and we did see one bear come across the property which was a high point.
Enjoyed our stay in this very cozy and roomy cabin!
We really enjoyed our stay here.
Roomy, clean , well equipped.
Host is very quick to respond to any questions. Short drive to the beach (30 min walk) you have access to and it’s right by Sunnyside restaurant with nice lakeside patio.
I would stay again
