The home was beautiful and both Denise and Carmen provided excellent communication regarding our stay. Carmen quickly responded to our requests and always had the hot tub ready when asked. The views from the home are spectacular.

The property is even more beautiful than the pictures, if you can imagine. Denise and Carmin were great about answering any questions and helping us set up activities. The view from the property is spectacular and it is perfectly situated in terms of being close to activities, La Fortuna, and the lake. We used the recommended chef's services, and we couldn't have been more pleased. We would definitely stay here again.

This place was INCREDIBLE. We booked this as a gorgeous place for our elopement, and it was absolutely perfect. The photographer kept commenting on how every single inch was beautiful enough for photos, and I couldn’t imagine a better day. Carmen was SO helpful and even brought flowers for the wedding day. I will always treasure the time we were able to spend here!

Gorgeous and great place to stay

Wonderful place to stay with beautiful views. If there wasn’t so much to do in the area, could have happily stayed in the house all day long. Hosts were amazing and so easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay there again.

Amazing Stay!

Our stay was excellent! The views were beautiful. It was so easy to get to zip lines and tours. We did a great tour seeing sloths, bright colored frogs, beautiful birds. It was very cool. Thank you so much for making our stay so pleasant! Carmin was great and very attentive to our needs!

Beautiful house overlooking the lake

This house is spectacular! Beautiful rooms all with air conditioning. The bathrooms and showers were well appointed and had nice hot water. We utilized the recommended house chefs, Key and Kenneth, they were AMAZING! They really made the trip, the food was fabulous and allowed us extra time to swim in the pool and soak in hot tub!

Best House in the Rain Forest!

This house is the best place to stay. We had 18 people, and it was extremely comfortable for each and everyone of us that stayed. The house has a local housemaid that helps keep things clean and helps direct you around the town. I have stayed here twice and would stay here again.

Breath Taking Home & Views

The home was absolutely beautiful set in a cute town with a great view of the lake and volcano. Carmin helped us settle in and was so accommodating. The children enjoyed the loft and bunk beds and adults felt right at home in the many other rooms. We all soaked in the view from the pool and hot tub and even saw a lovely rainbow! We will be back! Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Amazing home. Great for families and friends

The house was amazing. Photos don”t do it justice. The house was in a great location. Close to zip lining, hot springs, lake activities We enjoyed horseback riding with Lilander just down the road. Carmin was great and very responsive to all of our questions and requests. Would highly recommend this amazing property!

Amazing place to be to celebrate our son’s one year anniversary of entering into Heaven.

Stay there was absolutely amazing. Carmon, the housekeeper and her mother were absolutely beautiful. We also had a massage through a lady that came to the house. We honestly had the best trip of our lives there. The house itself is absolutely gorgeous just like the photos. I can’t say anything bad about this property.

Amazing house with incredible views

Stayed here with our group of 11 (all aged) for four days. The house is amazing with lots of unique touches. The little ones loved staying up in the loft while the rest of us all spread throughout the other bedrooms but could have easily slept more comfortably. Hot tub was great at the end of long days and pool was good for a dip even if still a bit chilly in April. House was close to sky adventures ziplines, some great birdwatching at Arenal observatory, and hiking in the national park. About 35 mins to get into Fortuna town. Wish we could have tried some of the restaurants down the street on the hill but we had a chef that worked out well for our group.

Paradise in the rainforest

This house is so incredibly well designed, making it the perfect getaway for our two families. While the location is a bit of a destination to get to (4wd is helpful!) it’s so worth it!Close to several activities including zip lining (Sky Adventures) and hot springs (The Springs).We took advantage of booking their recommendation of booking a private chef for our first night at the house which was incredible. The husband and wife team were so kind and the food was unreal.The house is so comfortable (and posh!) with stunning views of the volcano. And the nature surrounding the house feels fake…we woke up to the songs of green parrots, visits from local horses in the field next door, and the beautiful sounds of the rainforrest. Truly a magical location!

Hidden Gem

We recently stayed here for our family vacation for 3 nights, and it was the highlight of the trip! One of the coolest places we’ve every stayed. So glad we stayed here in this small town, and it is a short drive to all of the activities. Awesome views of the volcano and lake. Host and staff were very accommodating and went above and beyond during our stay. The detail and craftsmanship that was put into this place is amazing. Definitely recommend Lilanders Horse Tour down the hill, they help manage this property as well and this was one of our favorite excursions. We will be back in the future!

Amazing, adventurous Christmas holiday with family!

Carmin was there every step of the way and greeted us at the front door. Having 2 4x4 SUVs was definitely needed and once there we had tons of space! Quick 10 minutes to Sky Adventures, 15 minutes to the National Park of the Volcano for hikes, 25 minutes to all of the best hot springs, and 35 minutes to Fortuna. Some of our favourite moments were hiking further up the driveway into our own private rainforest and eating at the bottom of the hill with our favourite restaurant being Meza de Mama. The local restaurants and bars on the hill are all fantastic. We cooked at the home three times out of 6 nights and enjoyed sitting together. Hot tub every day after the adventures that we had chosen. Carmin was helpful with any questions including excursions and places to go. It looks just like the pictures! And we could see our own villa when we were ziplining a valley away.

Amazing home and views!

We stayed with a total of 12 guests including 7 kids ranging from 8-15. Denise was so great to work with. The home is beautiful. The AC’s work great in the bedrooms. The great room is surrounded fed by sliding doors that open up for a fantastic breeze and view of the volcano. The pool was cold but the kids didn’t seem to mind. The hot tub was heated each night by request and was a great way to end the night. The food in the area was fantastic. Carmin and Lilander the care takers were so friendly and accommodating. We took the horseback ride to the hidden waterfall with Li and his dad. It was a long ride up and down the mountain but it was a highlight of our trip there.

Breathtaking property that exceeded our expectations!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Casa de Million! The house was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, and the spacious rooms made it perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The beds were super comfortable, and the master bedroom was gorgeous—waking up to views of Arenal Volcano was unforgettable. We were literally in awe every day! One of the highlights of our stay was enjoying the spectacular views while relaxing in the pool and hot tub. It was the perfect way to unwind and take in the natural beauty around us.A special thanks to Carmen, the house manager, who went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. She was always available for any questions or assistance, kept the house spotless, and helped us with dinner and activity reservations—her support truly elevated our experience. We loved our horse back riding tour to the secret waterfall with Li- this was certainly a highlight of our stay and recommend! The horses were so gentle. Our only regret was not booking longer at this home! I would recommend at least a week to be able to mix in all the activities and enjoy downtime/ relaxing at the house! We highly recommend Casa de Million and hope to return someday!

My name is Denise. I was born in Florida and grew up in south Florida. My parents were the out-door type of people by always hunting, diving for lobster and fishing and my brother and I were always in their back pockets experiencing an unusual life that many people have never encountered. . I think that's why I fell in love with Costa Rica on my first visit to Costa Rica in 2009. Costa Rica had everything I loved to do, plus the beautiful mountains that Florida didn't have. The best was the people that were born there. OMG... They are so respectful and kind. I left Costa Rica dreaming how I could possibly have a home there. I was overwhelmed by all the natural nature and beautiful breath taking views of the mountains. As you probably know, South Florida is super flat. Through many years of hard work, my new journey started in Costa Rica at the end of 2018. The construction of my home was mostly finished by the beginning of 2022. Covid 19 slowed things down a bit. Now I am ready to share with others so you can have the same experience.

What makes this property unique

There is so many unique benefits of this home. I built it with an open air concept with super high ceilings with many windows and doors. I love sitting on any of the balconies looking out at the volcano Arenal. Every time I look at the volcano it has a different shadow or cloud or color. I still take pictures every time I go there because I am memorized by its beauty every time. The birds that fly by are amazing too. I never have seen so many variety of birds. Sitting in the hot tub in the night with a full moon always changes my perspective of life.
