The Retreat at Sandusky has modern, comfortable space for up to 66 guests featuring family and dorm style rooms, as well as a 3 bedroom house. The RAS is the perfect place for youth groups, adult groups, sports teams, and families. The Retreat at Sandusky was renovated in 2019 to ensure comfort and convenience for all our guests and our pricing is the best in the area for groups and families.

Fantastic Group Stay Location!

We had an amazing stay here with about 25 people in our party for my grandma's 90th bday! Plenty of space and with several kids in various ages, each had plenty to do each day and night. Plus, it is so close to Cedar Point and Erie Lake! Would highly recommend!

This was the perfect place for our family reunion! Plenty of everything you could picky need! The host was responsive and helpful, the games were all a big hit with everyone and the kitchen area was huge and has lots of everything!

Family Reunion

We had 36 people in our group ranging from 4 years to 85 years old. This property was perfect for our large group. We had private space for each family unit to relax and sleep, and the gathering space was ideal for our meals and for families to enjoy each others company. Plenty of green space for kids to play. We had an awesome time at the family reunion.

The place was perfect for our family group. Ample areas in the boat house for meals and hanging out. Plenty of rooms to accommodate everyone. Very responsive host. The only negative were all the trains, but noone lost too much sleep because of them.

Great for large groups and families

Communication, communication!!! The owner was quick, answered every question we had before arrival and was available during our stay...where we had no problems at all. I loved the lil signs all over the facility about how and what to do to check out, where to put remotes, how to best cool the gathering house and a board with a list of local attractions. Considering the size (It's a huge establishment with many buildings and areas to play and gather)...it was very clean, well organized, and stocked very well for pretty much everything a family or large group would need. It had games, kids activities/toys, ping pong, cards, sand/ volleyball, basketball court, every kind of utensil, pans, stove item, clean up items, condiments, seasonings, towels, washcloths, and entertainment area for music/playing video games, grill. I could go on. All we bought was the food. The gathering areas were huge providing us ample space to gather together in groups or in mass affording privacy for adults and the kids but still keep an eye on the little ones. All the major attractions are within a 30 min drive with Cedar Point being literally down the street. My only negative was the location.. their is a busy train track behind the building, other residences are close by and you are off a busy road so we had to keep an eye on the lil kids for safety, but really it's our job to parent and it is a tourist area. Still overall...5 stars. Can't recommend this place enough. We had a wonderful time.
