Wonderful Bass Lake paradise

The house is very comfortable, well appointed and well situated to Bass Lake. The property is just off the lake perimeter road and is very peaceful and quiet. The home is new and in wonderful condition. Furniture is comfortable and bright in a relaxed setting

Fantastic stay!

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage. Very clean, well stocked. Kathy was awesome. Very helpful with everything. So very kind to allow use of so many water toys. The property is extremely well kept. The whole area is peaceful and very safe. People are very friendly. The cottage is behind the house so a very short walk to the lake, but that makes it very private. We kayaked, played in the water, sat by the fire and watched fireworks and beautiful night sky. Thanks again!!

Quiet and Beautigul

We had a great stay and will come back! Summer was over but we had beautiful weather and enjoyed the lake as much as we could. The house has everything we needed and was cozy and comfy.

Nice location.A bit of a walk to the lake but set up nice with fire ring by lake as well as the back yard..Nice quiet neighborhood.Great selection of water toys for the children as well as bikes for everyone..

Geeat cottage, with everything you need for a nice weekend getaway. Bed is comfortable and the kitchen has all the essentials. Host was communicative and responsive to our questions. Put us in touch with a boat rental that was fantastic too. 5 stars

Paradise

This was our second time staying at this property. The cottage is beautiful!! Every "toy " you could imagine from paddle boards to kayaks to bikes. Firepit right on the lake. Look forward to staying there again.

Relaxing lake stay

My husband and our 2 sons (18 & 21) enjoyed a week at Bass Lake. The house is super cute and very clean! You have everything you need in the house and a pole barn full of water toys/rafts to use. Kathie is very attentive and quick to respond to questions/requests. The lake was very quiet during the week, we were practically the only ones on the water a few times. Fun without a view

The cottage was nicely decorated, very clean and came with lots of water toys. Outdoor space was nice but there is no lake view from the cottage. Lake access is past another house on the property and across a street. Not ideal for children. The lake public beach was fantastic for the kids. Lots of clean sand and shallow area. If have older children who ski, this cottage would be ideal.

Cute place, well appointed

The cottage is well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies. Loved the access to a grill, plenty of outdoor seating and proximity to the lake! The owner even extended the offer to use the paddle boat docked at the pier. We did not have access to the lake "toys" (e.g. floats, paddle boards, etc.) until the evening on the first day, which was disappointing, as my kids had already come in for dinner, but the rental manager did come to open it as soon as she could. Overall, a very nice experience if you're looking for a place on Bass Lake.

The truth: This is not lakefront. It’s an in-law suite located directly behind the main residence, which is "across" the street from the lake. Be prepared to potentially share the grounds with the owners.The good: It was very clean, nicely decorated, with new furnishings and a generous supply of lake toys for both kids and adults. I also appreciated the late checkout.The bad: The owner is a bully. I personally cleaned, swept, took out the trash, covered all outdoor furniture, swapped propane tanks, and even scrubbed the grill—which was filthy with old food—even though I never used it. I never complained about the misleading listing. I just let it all go. About a week later, the owner flooded my inbox accusing me of damaging the bedroom wall. She later sent a photo of a minor scuff mark where the metal bedframe had rubbed against the wall. We did not cause this. I even suggested she move the bed away from the wall to prevent further wear. She insisted the drywall needed replacement and pressed me to settle outside of VRBO. I refused. Not only did we not cause the scuff, it’s normal wear and tear for any property with a metal bunkbed set directly against drywall. She offered no proof it wasn’t there before. Once she slipped and said she “typically” resolves these issues outside of VRBO to not ruin the guests rating, it became clear this may be a pattern—intimidating guests into paying for supposed damages. I stood my ground. The whole thing was ridiculous. Very sad.

I am managing this property for my amazing hardworking and retired parents who live in the main house. Our father has retired from a life long career in farming and is now enjoying the blessings of his labor with mom at the beautiful and tranquil property at Bass Lake. You may see my parents at the property during your stay sitting on the patio giving a wave and a good morning, do you need anything; or a shout from the balcony, have a good time kids. You don't have to be blood for them to make you feel like family.

Why they chose this property

The guest cottage is private and completely separate from the main house and has its own private patio making a perfect getaway for a small family or a weekend getaway. The lake is approximately 175 feet down a gravel driveway and across the road where you will have access to a pier and a private boat ramp so bring your boat or jet-skis. Enjoy the sun on the lakeside patio, swimming, fishing and other lake activities. Watch the beautiful sunset next to the lakeside firepit. Guest also have access to bag game, and disc golf.

From the first moment we stepped foot on this property, we fell in love with every detail from the comfortable furnishing, to the county modern lake décor. The eminence of this property is pure stress releasing and relaxation for us and we are happy to share that with others.
