Very clean, quiet and comfortable! Fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Very comfortable place with enough room for the family to spread out. Host is wonderful with requests and responds immediately. We were just back for our 2nd stay here!
We chose this house so that myself, my husband, teenage daughter, a mom and her daughter, and another mom could visit our college freshman for parents weekend. We wanted a space to make home cooked meals and to simply enjoy each other. This house provided all of that in a clean and well equipped environment We were very pleased with the location and amenities. The spaces allowed for interaction and had plenty of seating. We were able to have easy commutes to campus, shops, and frisbee golf. All in all, a wonderful trip.
Enjoyed our stay. Liked that there were 2 tables with a number of chairs as we ate/played board games etc. at the house.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Property was not as pictured.
My family of 6 stayed at the property for 3 nights. It was a good location off the beaten track, but still close to the town of Cedarburg. The main reason we picked this place was for the yard, looked big, grassy, private, and well groomed in the photos. That worked for us as we were meeting up with family from Germany in hopes of playing yard games such as bocce ball. What the photos did not show is that the main highway is directly behind the house so you are constantly hearing traffic. The yard looked horrible, like it was sloppily mowed it after a month of growth. There were piles of dried grass everywhere that needed to be raked up in order to play. There were also cameras on the front and back yard so there was no privacy which felt very disturbing. I understand that you want security but this house is not in a location that it’s needed, felt more like surveillance. There was no patio furniture to sit outside and enjoy the 80 degree sunny days. We reached out to the owner about this and he responded saying it was not the season for this. The house had the bare minimum, felt like a bachelor pad with cheap furniture and one nightstand per room. Not a huge deal but if you advertise that you can accommodate 8 people then I expect that you have the proper furnishings. A few of the lights did not work and my dad had to fix screws in several chairs that were about to break. One of the bedroom doors would not close, and the upstairs toilet did not work. Not a good experience.
Large and comfortable house, very clean and well appointed. Close to the lovely town of Cedarburg. This is the second time I have stayed at this house and would definitely rent again if I am in the area.
Six girlfriends celebrated the start of the holiday season in Cedarburg. Thos property provided a place to eat, drink and be as merry as we wanted. It's a beautiful home woth everything needed for a weekend getaway with friends. Loved it!
I stayed here for a nearby wedding. I wish I'd had more time to spend in the house. Very nice, spacious house only a few minutes from town. Would visit again.
Pros: The beds are awesome! firm. Sofas are comfy. Kitchen had what we needed to prepare some basic breakfasts and dinner meals. The coffee provided worked well for us, thanks! Host was quick to respond. Neighborhood is quiet and pleasant/safe. We have young kids, so for us, the minimal decor was just fine. We didn't have to worry about our kids moving stuff around too much or breaking things :) Kitchen and dining tables were great, nice to have some space for meals.
Tips for improvement: A couple extra pillows for the beds and sofas would be helpful. Some sort of baking dish/roasting pan would be useful. Unfortunately, many of the bedroom/bathroom doors have difficulty fully latching/staying closed.
Overall, this house really fit our needs very well and we are grateful for our hosts care!
Loved walking in to a clean, fresh smelling, house after a filthy rental car fiasco. It was heavenly to take a shower and feel clean because the house was clean!!
The only con was that the king bed was pretty hard (could use a soft topper of some sort) and there was a weird way you had to flush the toilet because of a semi broken handle
This place worked so well for our family of 7. There were beds for everyone and space to relax and kick back. It also has a nice yard that the kids liked to explore in the morning.
The best part about this place is that there is no grime and it’s clean!
It is nice and uncluttered and just feels like home. So much better than staying in a hotel!
Don't be discouraged by the outside appearance and lack of lawn and exterior maintenance. The house is really clean! And it is in a safe neighborhood.
Plenty of cleaning supplies, towels, and household essentials available. You can tell they are updating little by little. Freshly painted, new flooring throughout, new furniture and beds. Clean bedding. Nice showers. We were so happy with this stay we asked to stay an extra night and the owner worked hard to get it worked out with VRBO last minute for us and added a night. Great owners!!
We wanted a getaway that was quiet, yet close to many natural areas for hiking with short drives. This was exactly what we wanted! Great communication, everything we needed! Clean and comfortable! Thank you!!
Having to sitting areas was wonderful. The owner/manager was extremely nice to deal with. Our entire group of 6 people were very well pleased with the accommodations.
We needed a place to stay for a couple nights for a family funeral in Cedarburg. This home allowed us to also spend time with our kids and grandkids. We were beyond happy with the accomodations, especially that the home was kid friendly.
Excellent place for our family to stay while gathering together from Northern Wisconsin and Central Illinois. Lots of space. We particularly enjoyed that there were enough bedrooms for everyone, enough table space both for serving and sitting and even two living areas for everyone to spread out and enjoy different games and activities. Beds are low and firm; our family was split on this element of our review. Plenty of bath towels. Sheets were very soft. Neighborhood is quiet. Plenty of parking for multiple vehicles. House was not cluttered with decoratives, so it was easy to keep track of our belongings. With multiple family members, it was a bonus to have two showers and three bathroom sinks.
I believe we stayed here in this property’s infancy, so here are a few suggestions only mentioned to improve an already great experience: some additional hooks for hanging towels in the bathroom would be helpful. To improve the first impression upon arrival, trimming of the bushes and removal of the ragged flag out front would make a big difference; perhaps the exterior improvements will be made more easily in the spring. Place settings for more than 8 people (more than what the house can sleep) would allow for serving plates, cooking plates, prep plates before “running out” or needing to run the dishwasher. An extra blanket would be helpful in the closet for those who are colder at night. We’ve also seen “Welcome Binders” at other VRBO’s that is helpful upon arrival with information in it such as local attractions, wi-fi password, departure instructions, etc. But the host was very quickly responsive with answering these types of questions for us!
Overall, our family was very pleased with our stay. We were more than comfortable, did not feel at all crowded, were happy to have a great space to play games, cook meals and spend time together, and would most definitely book here again!
