About this property

Rocky Branch Retreat on 33 acres with fenced yard, fireplaces & deck

Relax and unwind at our 200 year old historic homestead, which was once an actual schoolhouse. Many renovations, including updated bathrooms, offer all the comforts of home.

We are just a mile from the Jay Covered Bridge, 15 minutes to Whiteface Mt. & less than 30 minutes to Lake Placid.

There are two fireplaces, a Smart TV, an outdoor firepit, fenced in yard, a babbling brook (hence our name) & 33 acres to explore.

3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sunroom, laundry room, deck and porch are all available for guests enjoyment. The sunroom leads to the deck, that boasts gorgeous mountain views. The master bedroom with a King, is located on the main level.
We do have a futon upstairs for additional guest sleeping.

We love dogs and our outdoor space and fenced in yard are ideal for your furry friend to travel along.

The retreat is quiet and in a lovely setting. It is close to Keene and Wilmington.This former school is very old with a nice new bathroom. There is some grass to walk through in the yard. I may have overlooked notices of local events.

This lovely “schoolhouse” property was very clean and had everything we needed! Location was very quiet even though it sat close to the road! Owner was very responsive with any questions we had before our stay ( about AC - which was wonderful) and we didn’t need to reach them during our stay. Highly recommend!

Fantastic home

This house is super cozy, clean, well equipped, and its location is just 15 minutes to Whiteface Mountain and 30 minutes to Lake Placid. Love also the fenced garden for dogs.

Wonderful old schoolhouse

What a great, historical building, complete with the old school bell! Lovely, quiet setting with front and back porches. Spacious rooms. Loved the sun room. Loved watching the birds, deer, and chipmunks in the backyard, overlooking the stream and meadow. Perfect property for the full ADK experience!
