The host was super responsive. Also, the Mallow House is really special. It's isolated and private with amazing views, yet it's also just a few minutes off the main road, so is very easy to access.

Magical

I wish we had stayed more than two nights to keep enjoying this house. We had everything we needed and didn’t have to ask the owners for anything but their thoughtful card and smores kit made it feel that they would be very responsive if we had questions. The views were spectacular and decor made this design snob feel right at home. Highly recommend a stay here- we hope to make it back someday.

Lovely Stay!

So glad we didn't pack our schedule with too many activities and had time to enjoy this beautiful property! The home is spacious and the listing and photos are very accurate, everything was very clean and in good working order. We appreciated the effort that went into selecting all the amazing period furniture pieces, as well as the thoughtfully designed landscaping and outdoor spaces. The home has all the amenities needed, beds are super comfortable and really good quality linens. We very much look forward to coming back. Almost forgot one of the most important highlights of this home; incredible views from almost every window of the house! Absolutely gorgeous, lots of desert wildlife passing through as well. Lovely property, we'll be back for sure!

Beautiful Oasis

Sarah and James put so much care and thought in the home that one cannot help to feel that they are in a special place :) They go above and beyond and despite the weather we had a great time connecting in this beautiful space with our family and friends. The heating units were amazing and kept us cozy :) The composite firewood and s’mores kit left by the host came in handy and watching the snow behind the beautiful windows in a cozy space felt magical :) Would definitely stay again the next time we are around :) Such a beautiful home … thank you for sharing it :)

5 stars all the way, flawless!

This place hands down was one of the best trip experiences I have ever had. The property is something out of a mid century modern fever dream. The aesthetic of the outside of the house, to the beautiful decor, to the sweeping views of the desert was all impeccably flawless.15 minutes through a stunning canyon to get to Pioneertown, 20 to Joshua Tree, also close to Palm Springs. It’s located centrally so getting to the hip spots is easy. The host, Sarah, replied to every question we had promptly. She was incredibly accommodating before we even arrived! Sarah even gave us an extra hour for late check out which was so kind. This place has EVERYTHING, and at that, everything is beautiful. From the furniture,fixtures,dishes, truly everything is eye candy. It was a joy to just sit back drinking margaritas in the hot tub while basking in the desert starlight. My friends and I were filming a video & the hosts created such a well themed vibe, property wide. In the 3 days we stayed, we only left once for dinner at Pappy and Harriet’s, otherwise we couldn’t even bring ourselves to go anywhere. Plenty of beautiful desert to explore right in the backyard. You really can’t beat these views! Sunrises and sunsets here are a total blessing, you get the greatest shots of Idlewild with desert flora & wide open spaces all around. I can’t rave about our stay enough. All around just one of the greatest experiences ever. I don’t have a single complaints except I wish I was there now. Perfect 10!!!

Beautiful step-back-in-time home with lovely amenities. Very private with gorgeous views! Loved the outdoor shower and hot tub! Rock tub was cool but was too cold for us to soak in. House is situated in a nice half way point to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. Staying here definitely made for a memorable experience!
