Welcome to the Lodges at Hat Creek, Old Station. Enjoy luxury lodging and World Class fishing steps from your front door. Step inside and enjoy a cozy living area, comfortable furnishings, and rustic cabin charm. Spend your evenings stargazing, gathering around the fire pit, or simply relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. Unit A is ADA compliant.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Make sure the BBQ is clean and knobs are all turned to "off" and the Propane valve is off. Return cover to grill. Do not add cover when the grill is hot.
Please leave all dirty towels and linen in the basket under the stairway or piled next to it. Please make sure to turn off the AC/Heater
Close and lock all windows and doors. Push the “Yale” or “padlock” on the electronic lock then pull handle to make sure door locked.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Location was perfect for getting to Lassen National Park. The downstairs bedroom is a little small with no bedside table so we used our cooler to keep my husband’s CPAP machine. The whole cabin is decorated well with a rustic touch. There are limited kitchen supplies, no cookie sheet or serving bowls or platter; however we managed just fine and glad I brought aluminum foil so we cook bake cookies. Beds are very comfortable with nice clean linens. Bathrooms were very clean with nice towels and amenities. It’s difficult to keep all the dust away out in the wilderness and there were areas like the top of the fans, the upper kitchen cabinets and the mounted animal heads that could use more attention. The night sky was magnificent and we got great photos of the Milky Way. Cell service is sometimes sketchy but the WiFi worked well. We enjoyed our 2 nights very much!

My family and I had a great/comfortable stay, this location is near all the fishing spots we used to go to when I was younger so it’s perfect for us! Will definitely be coming back for our next trip!!

Excellent except we recommend detailed instructions be provided for turning on the TV. The TV powers up and the screen has a info msg but no info on getting the programs from there.Gave up trying after 2 days

Air Conditioning is a joke

We loved the location right on hat creek. We were there in the heat of summer and were very disappointed to find that the advertised air conditioning did not work properly. When we arrived at the house it was sweltering inside. We couldn’t get the AC to turn on at all. We were able to get ahold of the owner who suggested we reset the breaker at the outside electrical box. That did the trick. Except that every hour the AC turned off and in order to turn it back on we had to go outside to the box. Every. Hour. Which meant in the middle of the night we had no AC and after returning from a day of exploring we had no AC. It was absolutely ridiculous. There is also only one small unit in the living room for the entire place, so the upstairs bedroom and loft area never cool down. Very disappointing.

Awesome place and location. Some small suggestions: WiFi system needs upgrading (barely worked). Knives need sharpening (dining in is essential in that area and the non-serrated were useless). Note to future guests: they have s’mores skewers handy so no need to buy any. Fire pit was great.
