Discover Chalet Grandes-Piles, an authentic all-wood log cabin built piece by piece, nestled in the heart of the Mauricie region. Located less than 1.5 hours from both Montréal and Québec City, this chalet offers the perfect balance of nature, comfort, and four-season activities.
Set directly on the banks of the majestic Saint-Maurice River, navigable for over 130 km, the chalet boasts spectacular views and stunning sunsets. A private dock allows you to moor your own boat, and a nearby boat launch provides easy access to the water. A neighboring marina also offers rentals of boats, pontoons, and personal watercraft.
In winter, snow sports enthusiasts will be delighted. Vallée du Parc Ski Centre is less than 20 minutes away and offers alpine skiing, snowboarding, night skiing, and a ski school. Mont SM is also within easy driving distance. Snowmobile trails are accessible directly from the chalet, and snowshoeing and cross-country skiing can be enjoyed nearby.
The chalet can accommodate up to 10 guests and offers a comfortable, functional layout. Upstairs, you’ll find four closed bedrooms: three with Queen beds and one with a King bed. A second living area located in the attached garage serves as both a family room and a fifth sleeping area, featuring two single sofa beds—ideal for children or additional guests.
Common areas include a cozy main living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a large fully equipped kitchen, and a three-season veranda with a dining table and BBQ. A spacious entertainment area completes the experience, featuring a home theater with a 75-inch TV, a pool table, foosball table, and air hockey table.
