About the host
Hosted by Heidi
Hi, I’m Heidi! I have a deep love for family, community, and wide-open spaces. Hosting has become one of the most meaningful parts of my life—there’s something truly special about creating a place where people can slow down, gather together, and make lasting memories. I love restoring old spaces, pouring heart into the details, and helping others feel at home. Sharing the Black Barn property with guests is a dream come true.
Why they chose this property
We chose this peaceful corner of Rantoul, Kansas because it offers the kind of quiet you can feel in your bones. Surrounded by meadows, wooded trails, and big skies, it’s the perfect backdrop for rest and reconnection. What we love most is the way the land itself seems to slow you down—it invites long walks, deep breaths, and meaningful time with the people you’re with. It’s a hidden gem, and we’re so grateful to share it with others.
What makes this property unique
What makes our property truly unique is the blend of rustic charm, modern comfort, and wide-open Kansas beauty—all on nearly 40 private acres. The 100-year-old barn, lovingly restored farmhouse, and peaceful trails create a setting that feels both timeless and unforgettable. It’s more than just a place to stay—it’s a place to gather, to celebrate, to breathe. Guests often tell us they leave feeling more connected—to nature, to loved ones, and to themselves.
