Urine/feces Smell on Couch & Dirty Oven
Our stay was ruined from the smell of a couch and a dirty oven. During the first hour of our arrival, we pre-heated the oven to prepare our dinner. Within minutes the rental was filed with fumes from a dirty oven. We stayed at this rental for 4 nights, and on our last day we could still smell that odor, but that’s not the worst part of our week.
I sent an email on the second day about the smell of the couch. Our first day was filled with activities so we didn’t sit on the couch, but we did send an email and picture of a hole in the top sheet of the bed on the first night. There was no offer to bring a new sheet or an apology about the urine/feces smell on the couch.
I have sent several emails and left a note at the property asking for a $75 refund to recoup the cost of eating out every meal rather than our plan of eating one meal at the rental each day. No one in our group cared to eat at this location for the remainder of our stay due to the obnoxious smells inside this apartment. All I received was an email saying they would pass on my request to management, but after waiting 10 days, I have yet to hear from them.
The problem with this rental is in the description. A company that manages “20,000” properties. I would strongly discourage renting this unit or any other one managed by TheStay in the St Louis area.
