We are the Whitakers. We live on the ranch full time, and you will see some of our cows in addition to the elk. As stewards of this land we make it a priority to leave it better than we found it. We implement brush management practices to improve grazing and movement of wildlife and livestock. We love our cows and elk that roam the rough canyons.

Why they chose this property

It was our dream for years to own a ranch, but in our dreams we couldn't have imagined a more beautiful diverse ranch than this one. The geography and topography of this land still takes our breath away. There is a rich history in this part of Texas of ranching. This ranch was once part of the Bateman ranch which encompassed 40,000 acres. Some of the biggest ranches in Texas surround this property including the 6666 Ranch, Spikebox, and Masterson ranches. And even before ranching, Apache and Comanche Indians made this rough cedar country their home. We hope you have a blessed stay, we are honored to get to share this amazing place with you!
