Lae Nani #124, Ocean Front, wonderful view, tastefully remodeled



Our Lae Nani unit opens to a captivating view of the beach, ocean, the stunning tropical landscaping and the Wailua Bay. It is a second floor unit. We have completed major remodeling with a new kitchen, new bathrooms, flooring and new furniture including a flat screen smart television and king size bed. Climate change has resulted in some uncomfortably warm weather. In response, we have added bedroom air conditioning. We chose this property over other available ones on the basis of the view, its location, and the grounds. It is on the second floor of Lae Nani's only two story building. It is located midway between Hanalei and Poipu and approximately 10 minutes North of the airport and several miles South of Kapa'a town. The beach is adjacent the property (all Hawaii beaches are public and we are not allowed to call it our beach). This provides good swimming and snorkeling and there is a lava encircled water area that is ideal for young swimmers. Numerous other beaches with more wave action are nearby providing for excellent surfing and boogie boarding.

We are walking distance to many excellent restaurants not to mention a very good bakery/coffee shop. Next door is the Lava Lava Beach club which is an ocean side restaurant and cocktail area with live Hawaian music. We are very close to the newly remodeled Coconut Market Place with several casual restaurants, a shave ice stand and the Country Market Store that is well stocked with sundries, beach accessories, alcoholic beverages, a delicatessen, coffee, ice cream etc. There many other stores that sell clothing, souvenirs, etc and several shops that rent swim gear and bicycles. In other words, other than for groceries, one would never have to get in their car. We are so lucky to be located on a North South bike/multi use path, that presently extends 7 miles, most of it along the beach.

We are retired educators and have raised 4 children. When the kids were younger, we came to Hawaii many times. Having visited and enjoyed the other Islands, our favorite has been Kauai for the spectacular scenery, the friendly people, the variety of activities and that it hasn't been ruined by overdevelopment. Friends recently lured us back to Kaui resulting in a renewed love for the Island and after discovering Lae Nani, we decided that this was the place for us.

Why they chose this property

We feel that Lae Nani has qualities that we did not find in other properties. Besides being ideally located, Lae Nani had the most appealing overall quality environment. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. While we are adjacent to a good swimming bearch, and in close proximity to other excellent beaches. our large quality swimming pool, and is close to the charming town of Kapaa. Located in East Kauai, the drive to either Poipu or Hanalei is not excessive. There is a tennis court on site and parking is secure. We love the excellent bike path and use it on a daily basis for walking and biking,

We are located near the Wailua River with kayaking, canoeing, and hiking. Golfing and shopping are nearby. We adjacent to a beautiful bike/multi use path that continues for miles in both directions. We are short walk to the Coconut Market Place which has a variety of good eating establishments. Nearby are a Mexican, aJapanese, a Korean,an Italian, a barbq chicken/rib, a bakery, and an excellent casual seafood restaurant/ fish market. There is a farmers market a few steps away that is he'd on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
